Must I Return to Work

Listening to: Bleach-Hulu
Feeling: happy
Right now Brendan is playing in his pack in play, exploring what he is able to do at this stage. Silly baby noises and sleepy sounds are coming out there. I really don't want to miss our mornings together but I have to go back to work in another week. I don't want to. I want to be selfish and stay home with him and Curly but unfortunately the bills can't be paid on just Josh's salary :( It's going to be extremely hard to spend 9ish hours away from my little man and then not want to cuddle him the entire time I get home. Being gone most of a morning from him Friday cost me our baby time until supper. That was even short lived. He was too sleepy for me to get much time with him. :(

Excellent Holiday

Listening to: Bleach-Hulu Plus
Feeling: happy
Brendan is now 2 weeks old! He has kept our holiday very busy indeed. After we came home from the hospital we had a rough week until we got his feeding settled. Now he is a happy baby boy and much calmer these days. The worst thing for any new parent to undergo, especially a first time mother, is a baby that cannot be comforted because he isn't getting enough nutrition during feeding sessions :( Now that we are on formula and bottle feedings everything is settling down just fine. Just survived my first weekend without Josh's help thanks to my mother. Josh just got home from 24 hrs in 2 days of work so Mom came down to help me get through the nights :) She got her grandma time in and I got 2 nights of solid sleep :D On a side note, absolutely loving Bleach! On Season 8 episode 152 !

Less than 17 weeks

Listening to: In Too Deep-Genesis
Feeling: tired
As of yesterday I am under 17 weeks to go and then our new bundle of joy will be joining us. He is definitely becoming an active kicker and likes to throw in some punches now and then. Hopefully that means we will have an active child on our hands, one that will help keep Curly worn out from playing together :) Short entry I know but that's all I got right now.

My Choices

Listening to: Nothing
Feeling: annoyed
So my birthday has been going great so far and then one person's reaction to my choice when it comes to the safety of our baby has ticked me off. I mean I almost want to let her have it but she is the in-law who thinks she knows best! This woman is going to kill me before I deliver! That household knows, has knowns since Josh and I got together, that no child of ours will be exposed to a house full of smoke, pre or post birth. My kind hearted husband went down to said house to pick up my gift and was questioned why I didn't show up. He told them I couldn't be around them or in their house due to the smoking. Said in-law just rolled her eyes at him. That just makes my day!

Good News

Feeling: tired
Took a test Saturday that resulted in a impromptu visit with my family doctor. Took another test and we have been informed we are expecting and due around Dec 20! I'm excited and I think about everyone that I've told so far is. I don't know how Josh is feeling yet cause I haven't been able to talk with him since we got confirmation this afternoon. He is a good husband though. He asked if I needed anything from the store on his way home last night and sure enough I found it all when I got up so now we have some healthy snacks for me to be able to take to work to help keep the nausea at bay all day :)

Bad to Good

Listening to: random tv
Feeling: ok
After having a much needed 3 day weekend, I had a fun time getting back into the swing of the usual routine at work this morning. With today's prep not collected as I usually do on Monday afternoons, I was playing catchup all morning. Tore some skin off my hand while whipping some cream cheese (don't ask) for the base of our popper pizza and dropped a knife not even 20 minutes later less than 2 feet away from my foot. Mind you this was a gian pizza blade that could easily cause some serious damage!!! Oh! Let us not forget how I wacked my shin on a dolly that holds our dough ball flats as well -_- It got better after we ate lunch though. I did have jumbled words once in a while but with the students giving me the usual crap out of fun the day went smoothly. This afternoon and evening with Curly was a good one as well. We went for her evening walk after a failed attemp earlier in the evening due to someone's bad attitude kicking in. Right now she is lying down in the hall and I am getting ready to fold some laundry and clean dishes. Then I might fire up the PS2 until bed time :)

Much Overdue Update

Listening to: NCIS-CBS
Feeling: ok
It's 2014 and a lot has definitely happened since my last update. Found a full time job in October 2011 I have yet to leave due to lack of opportunities in the area :( Got married in 2012 and rescued our first dog in the fall from the local no-kill shelter. She is such a big baby and definitely has a mind of her own. In fact she is standing in the hall staring at me with her full attention after just chasing a vehicle through the house :) I am waiting to hear about a possible summer job at a state park that will allow me to utilize my degree and working on getting a volunteer position with Wolf Park >< ! We're looking at moving this fall for a place more suitable to a house of 2 adults, a high energy dog, and future childern. Hopefully everything works out and I will try to be better about updates. I love having sitDiary back up for use. I can keep up on my writing, have 2 going right now (one a fanart on my laptop and another on my sister page). I cannot post certain bits of information on my facebook account or war within the family will break out (ahhh family drama -_- ).

Prep Day

Listening to: Motion(live)-Plumb
Feeling: ok
So this afternoon and evening I get to prep myself for the two procedures in the morning. Not looking forward to the constant trips to the bathroom but it's a necessity. We are tired of dealing with whatever is wrong with my stomach without getting answers so scopes are the only answer we have at the moment. It will give me a half day at work so I get 1 1/2 days off this week. I would enjoy that thought more if I wasn't going to be crapping myself to death today, literally. Anyways, praying one of the new applications out there will get me a job so I can leave the beach or at least work there on the weekends only. As it is, the last full week is next week and then I'll be screwed if I don't have a full time job. I pray something comes through within this next week. Someone called yesterday and I really should get back with her about it. A management position doesn't sound bad at the moment.

Second Night

Listening to: Gossip Girl-the CW
Feeling: tired
Last night was the first official night in our new home. It definitely will look like a home the longer we live here. The kitchen is still full of most of our boxes and will need some serious work done on it tomorrow. Luckily I have the next 2 days off to get this place looking more like a home. It was nice having a larger bedroom to sleep in but it is so a mess lol. So cannot wait until this place is finally set up and we have an much larger and nicer place to live in for quite a long time. Also, we set the wedding date for next June! Now Taz and Mom are planning on working on the wedding starting in August. Busy busy busy!

Engaged and Blissfully Happy

Listening to: Hometown Glory-Adele
Feeling: happy
I've been engaged offically for a week and 2 days! The ring is being resized through Kay's and I won't be getting it back until June 4, possibly a few days later but I wouldn't count on it. We had to take it down 2 and 1/2 sizes! That is ridiculous considering sneaky had me getting sized back on Easter weekend and I wore a size 9 then! I really am loving this sodium restriction lifestyle and the massive water daily intake requirements. It has helped shed the stubborn fat I just couldn't lose on my protein power diet. On another note, we may have a new place to move into before the end of next week AND I may have my first job related to my degree. We will just have to see. I am waiting to hear back from a possible reference and then I will be turning the application in. I hope it all pans out because driving back and forth to work right now is too much money wasted on gas. I hate throwing away 100 dollars a week just to commute to work weekly even though the hours right now are just increasing like breeding rabbits lol. Wow I am in such a good mood it is ridiculous. I have had a silly grin on my face according to Josh since he proposed. Well yeah! I've been waiting for it since last fall lol.

Walking in 6 Days!

Feeling: happy
I am offically leaving Purdue this upcoming weekend for the last time! It's been 5 years too long but finally I get to walk across the Elliott Hall of Music stage and get my diploma from the Dean of Agriculture. I think things are starting to go right for me. Living with a great guy for almost 1 year, been together almost 2; graduating with a bachelor's degree from Purdue; and possibly have a new place to live within the end this week. So excited! Still looking for a full-time job in Lafayette so I don't have to spend the entire summer going back and forth to IB for work AND I unfortunately will not get to enjoy my open house until the 11th of June. Until then, 1 month to go to try and figure out what on earth my family is giving me.

Listening to: FOX 59 News-FOX
Feeling: tired
Our professor annouced yesterday in class that we wouldn't need to go to lab anymore on Tuesday mornings but here I am up at the same time. My management plan partner wants to go scope out our area. That's great and all but I really could've used a few more hours of sleep. I'm trying to get my average amount of sleep up at least 7 hours every night. Starting tonight, i get a maximum of 6 hours of sleep until Thursday night/Friday morning. Then I only get about another 6 hours of sleep Friday night if I stay up as late as usual before I go to the zoo for 3 hours. See my predicament? I need way more sleep right now. It's getting hard to get out of bed this early. I just want to go crawl back into bed. I may lay down a little with Josh when I get ready to leave for the morning. He was supposed to get up with me to go the Y and that didn't happen. I don't remember him coming to bed after he went into the bathroom last night to get ready. I just passed out.

Classes Resume

Listening to: Hawaii Five-O-CBS
Feeling: tired
Classes started back up today. Not much of a break, let me tell you. Anyways, had a decent visit with Jennifer, Josh's mom, but unfortunately she has been in and out of the hospital so much it's wearing on her. She even had to go up this weekend to the ER for about 5 hours before we could bring her back to the apartment. This is why I want to get her to move in with us or at least somewhere in Lafayette. That way we can keep an eye on her and spend time with her without having the 2 1/2 to 3 hour trip one way down to her place in Clarksville. On another note, sitting here falling asleep and my show is only half way over. Trying to stay awake and may go grab a little amount if ice cream or some yogurt. Yogurt is a better choice, less sodium and carbs. Ice cream I had earlier at work and really don't need a second helping but it always hits the spot. Maybe I just won't get anything and force my eyes open until the end of this episode.

Last Spring Break Kicked Off

Listening to: 10 000 BC-TNT
Feeling: cold
Sitting here watching 10,000 BC and growing colder by the second. May have to go throw on my hoodie again. Hopefully after this movie, when I cook my dinner I will warm up. Still trying to figure out how I'm going to prepare my burgers. Josh just finished cleaning the George Foreman today and I really don't want to dirty it back up but it is the healthier way to cook them instead of by skillet since we don't have a broiler. Probably will go with the grill and will just make sure I clean it really well while it's still cooling. I do not like when food is left in the pans and other instruments it is cooked in. Drives me nuts when there are dirty dishes but I cannot do them all the time. I have never liked doing dishes but as part of living on my own with Josh, I have taken up that position to a point. I have always hated house chores but hey, what can you do? Anyways, movie will be over soon and I will be able to cook my food them. Afterwards, I may work out a little if I have time before the Rascal Flatts concert on ABC tonight at 9. We will see.

All Is Still On Track

Feeling: tired
The scare is over and everything is fine. Body just adjusting to the missed week of medicine and now it is on the same page with me. It gave us a fright, making us think that just possibly we weren't safe enough but thankfully everything worked out. However, it has made me decide that we will be starting a family in the next two years. That means I finish school, Josh gets at least half way finished with his, we get married, and hopefully have a house for the family we will be starting. Crazy how a scare like that can make your whole mind set change. On another note, Spring Break is next week. I'm so ready for it. Will finally get to go see Dr. Reibly and have my back tweeked back into place. Been having daily migraines since last Tuesday evening and I'm getting tired of them. Once my shoulder blade is back in the proper position and not so elevated, all will be well again. So cannot wait.

Promotion Granted

Listening to: Dr. Phil-NBC
Feeling: tired
I got the promotion this afternoon. Plus, I finally heard about my refund from Purdue for a change in my parking permit. 5 weeks is a long time for one business to toy around with your money. No wonder we don't trust professionals when it comes to our money. In other news, no improvement with my symptoms and a new one or two has cropped up. I seriously think Josh and I am facing a life changing situation. We will just have to wait and see. I am being realistic about looking at both results. Just hope we are ready for what comes next week.

Valentine's Day

Feeling: nauseous
Was doing great. The day started out awesome. Woke up and found flowers, jewelry, and a card waiting for me on the kitchen table. Did my 2 hour shift at work without a problem but now I'm getting sick to my stomach again. Threw up Sat morning and it had passed, until now. Stupid FNR students brought in the most random food that smells and it's churning my stomach. I swear people need to eat food that either A, doesn't smell; or B, smells good. I'm almost tempted to pack up and head to the classroom early. At least I won't be as nauceous. I do know part of it is related to squeezing and releasing the abdominal muscles. I think they are tighening up but right now are in a stage where anything could cause me to get sick. Anywho, have to wait until this weekend before I get to spend any actual time with Josh. He is working until 1:30 every morning except for his day off, where he is working 5 hours. I don't mind him thinking about our financial standpoint but I miss time for just the two of us. To make up for it, Friday some co-workers and I are going dancing at the Cactus. Going to do some Cupid Shuffle and Cha Cha Slide if they play it. Looking forward to it. Well, time to switch sites and then head to class.

Pre-Valentine's Day

Feeling: tired
Josh is making out like a bandit this time around. I went to the mall and got him a few things and as I'm at the grocery story restocking cereal, milk, and bananas, he asked for me to bring him dinner. I never take dinner to him but tonight I felt like it. He got his subway melt and I at least got to see the place he works at. Lucky dog. Too bad I won't be there tomorrow when he opens his gifts. Stupid work and class will keep me away all day tomorrow. That's the bad thing about having a holiday on a freaking Monday. It should be set in stone for a Saturday. We have Sunday holidays and Monday holidays but what about Saturday? I think personally Valentine's Day on Saturdays would be awesome. Get the chance to have your time with your loved one.

Waiting

Feeling: surprised
So football is offically over. Packers won their 4th Superbowl and the Steelers got what they deserve, finally. With that sport officially over, I have nothing to take up my Sunday afternoons and dinners unless Purdue is playing ball. Hopefully those games become more aired. Anywho, the major practical for my single class is next week. Looked over lab speciemens yesterday and today. Was assigned my management plan and Misty and I are teaming up to do it. Since this is a do-over, I know what to do to get that wonderful A. Just put in some fresh bread to have some nice limited sodium bread and to replace Josh's bread or stretch it out so he doesn't need the expensive stuff. I don't understand why someone would pay over 5 dollars for bread. Homemade bread is cheap and just as good as Pepperidge Farm bread anyday. Also, waiting for Josh to get home. He told me to keep my sodium intake tonight easy. Makes me wonder what on earth he is up to. As a side note, what the heck do you get someone you love for the 14th when you both have constricted budgets? It can be such a hassle. Heck, I didn't get Josh's Christmas presents done until the week before Christmas. Sometimes the whole concept of shopping for specific holidays sucks but then when that person likes their gift and thanks you, it's worth it. BOILER UP! BEAT THOSE HOOSIERS!!!

Football Season Over

Listening to: AFC Championship-CBS
Feeling: tired
Spent this afternoon following the Bears and Packers game. It was tough and the Bears almost pulled off a major come back. If Haine had been put in earlier and Collins hadn't touched the field, the come back could've worked. Well, all I can say is that we have next year. Unfortunately, I do not know the future outcome for Kyle and the Bronocs. He was benched and dropped to third string after he was injured near the end of the season. I know he's not outstanding like Manning or Brady, but come on. He was the only QB under Phillips from the Chargers that was leading in the season in passing. The Broncos didn't do well this year and to be honest, it was primarily because the defense absolutely sucked. The offense can only do so much before they wear out because the defense can't hold the opponent in check. The Bears have always been defense and the Broncos offense. I dream of the day when the two specialized teams combine and make a powerhouse team that no other team could hold ground against. Alas, that is but a dream, right? On another note, I did good on the 1st quiz of the semester and am getting ready to take the 2nd one tomorrow in class. I have one evaluation done at work and hope to get my second one finished this week so I can do my sit down interview and hopefully promote up before the next pay week ends. I really look forward to wearing the blackshirt. Lord knows I've worked hard to get up there.
