Adventures of the Basement
I stayed late at work the other day to talk on MSN and then I got a text saying he thought we should...be together tonight. heh So I ran home to meet him. But...
I had to break into my Grandmas house first. The door to the basement jammed, the thingy wont move when you twist the door handle so I have to go through a window to the basement and find some tools to A) get the handle off or B) get the door off..
That window is SMALL. I finally got my big butt through it. Hurt so bad, so many scrapes. Good thing there was something slightly tall there to help me down. I went and got the tools and climbed back out the window, almost even more painful.
I got the tools and came back up because I thought the screws to undo the knob was on the..outside. Come to find out there is no screws on the outside. Brillant. So I climbed back through the window (I found a less painful way now) and looked at the other side of the doorknob. And again come to find out..neither side of the doorknob has the lil' screws to screw it off. How the heck did they get that knob on?! And I didn't exactly understand the takin the whole door off part either so...
Needless to say, I was stuck in the basement and I couldn't get the doorknob off b/c it seems impossible and I can't exactly pull the door off by myself. So I waited until Adam came...like an hour later. I wanted to go in the basement to help clean up the rocks and ..do laundry and eat her food. It was slightly essential to get to the basement. So I sat on the floor and threw rocks in a bucket while waiting for Adam. I found a radio and listened to country. I watched from outside the window as the clouds and rain came. I LOVE that weather... and I was inside.
Adam finally showed up after I had been yelling his name for like an hour. I yelled his name til he got to the window and then told him to go look at the doorknob and see if it was possible to get it off, or the door itself. He didn't know either. So he sat up there and played with the tools I went to so much effort to take up there. While I sat on the stairs and listened to him try to free me. I knew I could always go out the window, but honestly, it hurt and I didn't wanna. If he could get me out less painfully I would be happier.
So I waited for an hour while he played with the doorknob. He made it all look/sound so easy. He like popped off the actual doorknob, but the rest of it was still stuck... so we passed tools under the door and I popped off my side of the doorknob and then we had a lil' hole, but the rest of the doorknob was stuck still. Then I finally found out the screws were on my side! So i undid the screws, but it stubborn part was still stuck in the locking position. *sigh* I give up.
He tried the door too, he like popped out the bolts holding the door like so easy. Grr. But they were kinda painted in a bit, so we couldn't push/pull it off juss yet. I was like banging on that door for like an hour. I couldn't get very high to push on the door b/c I was on the stairs and I'm short.
So... by this time I give up. I'm gonna hafta go out the window. I told him to give up and that I was coming out the window. He said "Do you want help?" and I said "Sure whadeva juss give up on door itself." Somehow he got a "No, don't help me" out of that. So I struggled my way out again. Pain. I thought I had brought everything with me that I used down there, but I left my cell phone. Ugh. Kinda essential, especially when I dont think I'll be able to get downstairs for awhile. So I had to go back in... Adam said he'd go in for me. A) I don't know if he'd fit, yes he's small but sheesh... B) Only one of us really needs to go through that pain, not both of us. So I went back in and got my phone while he went back to the door.
By the time I got out of the window for the like 10th time he had the door off. He said he pulled really hard. Oh sure, now ya do. heh He made it look so easy and kept saying sorry about taking off the door and ruining the doorknob. Seriously. Drove me nuts. What did he think the point was? Be nice to the door and doorknob? I dont think so! So he tried to put the doorknob back together. I watched him put the door back on. I was annoyed because he was sorry and wanted to put the knob BACK on, and he made it look so easy.
I was tired, hungry and sweaty. I took a shower while he played my paino. Yeah, thats right keep your mind off whats happenin in the next room. hehe. I came out to him playing and singing. I LOVE it when he plays and sings. SO HOT. He was singing about something like "I like you for you" like don't change an' stuff... anyways...
Needless to say, I'm scared to sing in front of him now. I love to sing, but I can't/don't do it in front of him. heh Embarrassing. He actually knows how.
I saw how many scrapes and bruises I got from the window while changing clothes. Ugh. I showed Adam some of them. They really hurt. Then I talked and talked his ear off. I told him some of my fears. We...kinda cuddled on the couch.
Then we hugged like 10 times, like usual. And I felt him up while we hugged. Heh! I juss felt his muscles okay! I got to his lower back and he flipped out. Good for him. mwhahaha! I love feeling...small in someone elses arms. I love it when he hugs me. More thrilling than a kiss right now. hahaha...kinda pathetic.
I'm at a loss. Nobody is telling me what to do. Nobody is yelling and/or fighting with me constantly. Great,Something good walks into my life and I don't know how to react/what to do.
