Listening to: Avril - Nobody's Home
And there came that...look
Oh how I hate that look
That look the boys get when the light clicks in their head and they say "Oooh pritti girl..."
*rolls her eyes*
Edmundo gave me that look today in class. Actually he's been giving me that look ever since he found out I'm not living with my "family". He keeps wondering if I'm okay with that. Uh..yeah. And he finally got brave enough to something ..other than give that look constantly.
He took like 20 minutes to ask me out. He pulled his computer and basically gave/showed me his life story. Apparently, it's all in Excel. What a sad life. He said he had some computer questions for me. HA! He totally has all his finances mapped out. Crazy stuff. I bet he's OCD too. Will the OCD ever end? He had an excel sheet of his phone numbers and slyly hinted that I should put mine. Oy.
He asked if he could have my number. I asked why. He thought it was a fair question. He said to go out to dinner. I said I could have dinner at home, whats so special with him. And he was going to go on... but I cut him short to make this simple. I'm not dating and I'm not 'advised' to hang out. As in I'm not dating you or just hanging out with you as 'friends'. Trying to be friends when only one likes the other, doesnt usually work out and makes it awkward turning it into a stalker situation.
K, his name = obvious mexican. The fast talking where I cant understand 80% of it = mexican and his skin color and dark hair and eyes = mexican. He didn't have a chance from the beginning. Theres one thing I do know tho, NO means the same in both languages. He was satisfied with the reason that I was focusing on school and work right now and was too busy to hang out with him. Whatever. As long as he knows its not gonna happen.
*sigh* This is just the beginning of a long journey....
On the other hand... this morning on the bus.
The same cute white boy who comes on the same time MWF sat by me today. He like never goes to the back of the bus. If there's not a seat in front he stands in the doorway. I always sit in the back. He couldn't stand up and hold on in the doorway today.
So he looked at me and the seat next to me and was a lil' shy to ask so I just patted the seat next to me like a 5 yr old inviting her friend to come sit and play with her. And then we sat in awkward silence. When I got off he like made eye contact and said "Thanks". Wee! The first contact we've made! Well, verbally! Progress! Cept he's got a whole lot more earrings and I have this ... phobia of dating guys that wear more earrings than I do (which would be none). So that's not going anywhere. So easily do I knock people off the list. But hey, who says I can't talk/flirt with a cute boy eh?
"don't know where she belongs
where she belongs
she wants to go home
but nobodys home
thats where she lies broken inside
no place to go, no place to go
to dry her eyes broken inside
her feelings she hides
her dreams she can't find
she's losing her mind
she's falling behind
she can't find her place
she's losing her faith
she's falling from grace
she's all over the place"
