Listening to: Benny Anderson - When All Is Said and Done
"Where are you and what are you doing?"
"I'm playing in downtown SLC"
My Resa Roo came to SLC to see "whaled" - whatever the hell she ment by that - "and by whaled I meant Wicked". She gets to see Wicked and I dont?!? The thought of never texting her ever again came to mind at such point.
She lured me to her hotel with the offer of "free drinks and popcorn" Hmmmm. When I came her mother hugged me. Resa whispered "My mothers had a glass of wine" Who knows how many Resa has had.... :P She kept spilling popcorn all over herself and the floor. Who knows how long they were there drinking, eating, and talking before I came.
"Are you 21?"
"Oh, well then would you like to go to dinner with us?"
We stopped by a shop called Spark with a interesting back section called "Cockers". I found a shirt for $5 (not in the Cockers section fyi). Resa said she'd get it fer me fer me Bday. Yea, just cuz it was $5. :P Resa got a ...hat... Thas all I'll say about that. :D
Then off for like a 45 minute wait at The Bayou.
Was it necessary for the hostess to stare at ME, in the mist of a group might I add, and declare "I need to see all of your ID's". Yes, plural. Not JUST mine. There was more ppl there! Awkward. No one made a move to show ID. More awkward....okay... Still staring. So I make the first move and show my ID, and -then- everyone else pulls theirs out. Goodness. What is this? Spotlight on Wednesday?
I hate it when they say "Oh, you just barely turned 21" Yeah, as opposed to the -years- younger I look? Two weeks doesn't make a difference I promise.
I think my brothers would like the Bayou tho. I should make them go one day. They love Cajun food. I got a Margherita pizza. Yum yum. The basil was like an overpowering onion at first, so I used it sparingly.
It was fun to be...with a family, that actually went out and did things -together- and didn't bicker awkwardly the whole time. I felt I belonged.
And at the end of the night I was greeted with yet another rejection notice from Daines & Wyatt. Number 6.
