Happy Birthday Loryn!
Yesterday was Loryns birthday. The big 21 and instead of going to Vegas like she wanted she ended up at Lagoon. It was a pritti awesome birthday party tho I must say.
We stayed and played all day long.
We did Wicked, Colossus, Screamer, Samurai, The two Rockets (Blast Off and Re-entry), even Legoona Beach, etc. It was awesomeness. It was Dallin, Loryn, me, Claine and Wes mostly. Mindy entertained the kids most of the time. It was awesome to finally have some people to go on rides with. Hell I didn't even mind being the fifth wheel. I had friends dangit!
Then Wes was summoned home by his lovely nagging wife after like the 4th phone call (I hope I'm never that bad when/if I'm a wife). Poor kid. Just cuz she was having a bad day he had to come home early. He had from a whole day to like 5 hours of playing. An hour of that eating. Lame.
Near the end of the night Dallin and Loryn went and did some calm rides (Farris Wheel) and Claine coaxed me onto Colossus finally...(me and upside don't go together) it was super nice weather tho... and then D&L left and I finally got my Dip n' Dots and shared with Cole and then watched him run through the water fountain there in the middle of the park.
And there we were, "our" little family, Mindy, Claine, Braxton, Cole and...me standing in the middle of the park watching the two boys run through the water fountains getting soaked at like 9:30pm. Dancing little Cole on the side and soaked Braxton directly in the middle of the water. Cute. One lady would've put dancing Cole on youtube if she had more batteries for her recorder.
At one point Cole left his parents side of the circle of water and went around til he kinda got lost (if you can get lost in a circle), so I made a point to wave to him so he knew that someone he knew was there. But he couldn't really figger out which direction his parents were.
So I leaned down and pointed at the other side of the circle and said "Mommy and Daddy are right there baby" and he turned to see his two parents waving at him (they knew he was looking for them) in the blur of the water, smiled and ran/danced through the blur to reach his parents.
I pray to God that I will always be able to say that to those two boys. Always.
"Mommy and Daddy are right there baby". Right there.
