Jed's Birfday yesterday!
Apparently Shauna's too...
The big 45 for Jed!
Silly Jed thinks he's going to progress in the next 45 years. Doesn't he know that everything you accomplished in the first 45 years kinda goes in reverse the last 45 years? The potty training, the teeth, the amount of work you can do, the amount you travel, etc.
I got to talk to Patsy. :D I miss her.
This weekend was nice and relaxing.
For once I didn't go home.
I stayed here and slept and shopped and ate and read and watched TV and it was nice.
I watched Cloverfield.
I've always been intrigued by the perspective of a movie through a live video camera feed.
I thought it would make me sick with the camera flying everywhere while the kids were running, but it wasn't that bad.
It was scary too! I haven't seen a movie that's scared me in a long time! Awesome!
My favorite part was when they were in subway tunnels, can't-see-yer-own-hand kind of dark, so they turned on the cameras night vision, and obviously the only one who was lookin thru the camera could see what was in the tunnel with them, this being the same person that screams like a girl and says "RUN". While everyone else has no idea why they are running cuz they can't see anything in the dark. Super cool!
A group of friends trying to escape from this thing/creature that has come to take over the world/city and one by one the group gets smaller on this journey until the camera gets passed to the last two living and they say their goodbyes.
I haven't been so excited for a movie in a long time... Lame, I know.
Other than that Surin, the brown boy, has taken an unusual liking to me again...
We haven't seen each other in 6 months and we saw each other on Thursday night. He's changed. He shaved his head. He doesn't work or go to the BC anymore. He goes to Weber State now. He wants a BA in Business and a minor in Paramedics?, so he's getting hours by being EMT in the ambulances. Totally crazy! A international kid in a business suit working in a bookstore to tradegies in ambulances. Needless to say, he's getting the shock of his life.
And I am too cuz he's telling me all about it and this kid never talks about himself, ever, at all. And here he was at dinner spilling the last 6 months to me, more so the last 3 months of all the chaos and it was so ...fun. It was nice that he was talking to me and not concentrating on those lil' mind games he usually does. Very little immaturity that Thursday night. Loved it. Until he wanted to make out. Did I mention I'm so sick of boys?!
Now he wants to know if he seems emotionally available. This kid does not share anything emotional unless it's to manipulate in some way. But he's finally openin up a bit. And he texts me lots and calls me. Kinda weird. I dunno, I hope he -still- knows that it's not gonna work between us. Cuz it didn't work last year and even tho he's openin up more...he still plays those drama games that I don't tolerate.
