Listening to: Nightmare Before Christmas - Sallys Song
I wish I had more to report other than my physical daily actions. More as in....thoughts and maybe even feelings.
Anybody in there? Hello? *knock knock*
I suppose I'm lacking in proof of progressing mentally tho as of late....
As I play with my fat rolls when I get bored.....
Lately I've been thinking about goodbyes. And the many ways people say it. Goodbye as in on the phone or at the door or what have you. Some people say bye like three times in different ways before they hang up. Some have the programmed "mmk goodbye" or "uh huh, okay, buh bye". Some just say "okay" or "thanks" and hang up. Some say "I love you". Some say "I'll talk to you later". Some say "Thank you for your help". Some people finish their sentence, add a thought or state a fact and hang up/shut the door.
I would say that I've noticed that mostly lawyers are the ones that say "okay" or "thanks" and just hang up but I think it's just the lawyers I work for that do that. All the other lawyers that call in say bye unless they think they are better than others (ie me), impatient or irritated. It slightly bugs me the way this attry ends conversations. It always feels unfinished. Only 50% over. Something missing. He'll be talking to someone in a heated convo and then it feels like right in the middle of it he'll hang up. Not even say bye, or "I'll talk to you later" or nothing. Like there was no conclusion and it's normal to just suddenly stop talking. I know I can't hear the whole convo, and I'm sure the other side understood that it was over, but not from my end. It's like I hear the whole convo til the conclusion, cuz by then it's already over.
Just random thoughts of Wednesday on this fine Wednesday evening.
