Listening to: Staind - It's Been Awhile
I have discovered the world of Amazon.
I've put that discovery off for a long long time. Cuz once you start ordering, you never seem to stop! A bad habit to start! But alas, I was in the mood to watch the Firefly series since Memorial Day and I could not find it anywhere to rent, so... I bought it. :D It came in four days. Eeee!
I was thinking about it at work all day yesterday. They said it wouldn't come for estimated 10 days, but the reviews said delivery was fast so I was just hoping. I was soo happy to see it when I got home! So excited!! I just want to sit and watch one episode after another. No care in the world. Popcorn and ice cream.
In other news, Renee made my ecstatic Firefly moment really awkward with the sentence "Uncle Verl passed away today." He passed away June 8 around noon in Idaho. He was 89, ten years and one day older than Grandma. He recently learned he had colon cancer also. It was his time to go. The pain and suffering is gone now and he can move on. It's weird, Grandma seems WAY to understanding about her brother passing, but yet its ....understandable. She summarized his life and concluded with "After a life like that its just time to go and your ready". Oddly enough that summary was the exact same summary for her also, so what is she really saying? C'mon she's got like 10 years left!
Dads Ward is all messed up. They don't have a Young Womens Presidency so they having random people (mom and dad among others) go with the random girls that prolly don't even know each other to girls camp this year. That sucks. Your senior and last year of girls camp and you dont even know anyone there and all disorganized, not even designated leaders.
I wonder how the family would feel if I got dad a video camera for Fathers Day. They already bombarded with pictures from a regular camera... is video worse? Will I die? Will Dad want/use it? Or will he be too busy? Does he still have his hobbies?
