Everything that I do

All of my artistic advances; every musical note that escapes the fire in my belly; every word that I write (in every medium); every time I am on stage; every person I am kind to; every good deed that I do and anything decent I have ever done is fueled by how much I hate you, and how badly I want to be unlike you. You make me sick. You are an abomination and should be banished to Jupiter. However, I do want to thank you. There was a time during which you were more popular than me, had more money than me, and even got better grades than me. 2/3 factors still remain. You are still technically more "popular" than me in the sense that you talk to more people than I do. Oops! Did I say "talk"? Because "talking" requires input from both parties. You just run your mouth about yourself, and care nothing about such trivial affairs as "how the other person is doing" and "what they did last night". Welp, I may not have diarrhea of the mouth, but at least I have a job. Oh, sorry, I guess you don't NEED a job because your mom buys you everything. Your mom will probably buy you a car soon. Your mom will probably pay for your entire post-secondary education. Oh, and your mom thinks you're an angel that fell from the sky and that buckets of talent and character spew from your eye sockets every time you blink. Hell, your mom will probably pay for your abortion, too! You're so lucky. I have to pay my own way through life. Wish I didn't have work ethic. Wish people would eat shit from my hand. You know, if it weren't for your inspiring life story, I would probably still be pulling in Ds and Cs. But somewhere down the line I realised that I could do better. You were the driving force behind this, and you don't even know it. I have hated you for many years now. I have compared myself to you, and promised myself that you were the only person I would ever have to surpass in order to be satisfied. It wasn't difficult, at all. And I am more than satisfied with the results that a bit of paying attention has earned me. It has now come to a point where I don't have to try, and my new goal is to never to stoop to your level. Thank you for being my internal rival. Thank you for being that bitchy little voice in my head that only talked about how awesome she was without even trying. Thank you for continuing to help me see my full potential. Thank you for being the most humongous bitch ever. Thank you for being my inspiration.
