As a child I was always amazed by the story of Erzsébet Báthory. A woman who kidnapped, tortured and killed hundreds of young virgin girls for the purposes of drinking and bathing in their blood. When the local people realised the terrible reality of what was happening up at castle Báthory they imprisoned her within her own home. It took over 4 years for her to die.
