Alot has happened since I last blogged here...
It was about two months ago (I think)
But anyways, so im in year 12, 12 green to be exact... which means I have homework pouring out of every space homework could possibly pour from, however I have a blue jumper now instead of a maroon one, meaning that everyone with a maroon jumper strangely moves out of your way... hey, im not complaining, im not being rammed into 24/7 anymore.
I just came back from year 12 camp. Friggin hillarious. Its strange when youve know a group of people for such a long time, always made assumptions about them, spend time with them and realise theyre actually really cool and are alot like you. So im happy.
On that note I want a miniature pony... very cute, very friendly, and they sneeze on Chryssa.
So im getting my stuff ready for the formal in 4-ish weeks. Its funny, last year it was such a big deal, now its more half-arsed, I honestly coudlnt care less if I have a partner or not this year, and the only reason im making my own dress is the dressmaking experience (never sewn with wiven satin before... its amazingly thick and gorgeous) ...besides, dresses are too expensive. Actually, im wearing my formal shoes at the moment, aside from the fact that I love them (theyre gold, heeled, rounded closed toed with a purple oriental print on them) I also dont like blisters... and I would not like them on the formal night.
So we had our friendship group Christmas Party tonight... why so early?? Danielle is going to the Phillippines in a couple of days.
It was apretty eventfull night, I met Marie and Bec at the door, where we were told that we were meeting everyone else and we stood there for 10mins, bored out of our minds, when Tash comes inside and asks us why the hell were standing outside... so we went in...
So after some time everyone else appeared, except for Jacqui, who couldnt make it, and Barbara... now Barbara dosent have anyone in her family with a car, and well, the responsibility of how she gets around is usually shared between me and Eileen... with the occasional Nigel popping in and offering her to drive her... okay, occasional is an over-statement, lets say, when he owes her something, he drives her... so we have soon realised that oh shit, weve forgotten Barbara... Eileen calls her thinking "oh shit, shes gonna be pissed" and nope, Barbara is at work... "Oh the party's today, I havent bought the present yet" ...idiot.
The Shmo and Eileen realised they had no money, so they ran up the road to the service station to withdraw... when Melanie thought it would be quite funny to order without them, so we did, they ran in just as the waiter was finishing with us... friggin hillarious, escpecially considering that eileen was wearing flip flops... just her runniong in flip flops was funny...
Then we gave presents... Steph didnt know who she had, we have Barbara and Jacqui missing, so after many issues arising, we all got presents... Shmo had moi, she got me Ice Age DVD *huggles Shmo*
Dinner was pretty uneventfull and when it came time to pay we discided that we should give a tip, how about a pile of 5cent coins from everyone??
So after that we went outside, and we all took cameras out, we all started taking completely stupid pictures, if I hadnt completely drain the batteries, I would post a couple up here... Steph goes and buys gelati and somehow completely freezes her tongue and starts talking like her whole mouth was swollen... which was frickin hillarious...
Majority left, then Noley, Melanie, Shanlee and Eileen discided to walk to Safeway... god knows why, but they set off... which left me, Bec Fermonie and Steph standing around outside with two cameras... taking photos of the Safeway group walking up the road...
Then I left
Wootie *dances*
The principals funeral was on friday.
I had my Design Tech exam today, or more-or-less, was supposed to, the year co-ordinator printed out the wrong exam, so I had to do my religion and society one, I was completely unprepared, and as I take the exam and go to my seat, I see Babs pissing ehrself laughing at me *pokes out tongue* Her Vis Comm exam was much harder than my Religion one, I know because I did it last year.
I didnt have any exams today, so I didnt have to go to school, but I went anyways to do design tech work.
So as I walk in I notice that the year 11 corridoor is practically silent, then Julia comes up to me and tells me that our principal died last night.
Its strange, the difference between the three age brackets in the school. The year 11's and 12's were upset about it, then 9's and 10's were sad, but it didnt really effect them much, and the yr 7's and 8's, well, it didnt phase them.
Apparently there is staff room speculation that the vice principal wants to take over instead of getting a complete stranger running the school, which I hope happens, for my primary school experiences, I dont like new principals, theyre evil.
Chryssa got Barbara a job at the green grocers... she started yesterday... I want to go and visit them, I cant imagine Barbara working, let alone with Chryssa.
This leaves me, Jacqui and Bec as the jobless bums of the group.
Okay, ate least Jacqui and I both had a job (funnily enough, both at a cafe, whats that saying??) so Becs more of a bum than us *giggles*
I had my english exam today, worst exam ive ever -ever- done...
To begin with, I was late, so I had the door seat, and next to me was Katherine, now, okay, she's a fairly nice girl, but she had to rule a margin on every single page she wrote on, why did this get to me?? You know those people who when they rule a line go over the line more than 10 times, really hard, so its really loud and it ends up ripping the paper?? ARGH... friggin annoying
Then I had Penny infront of me, who kept flicking her hair back and leaning back on the seat, its very hard to write when you have someone's ponytail all over your paper, I felt like yanking on it... partly because it was pissing me off, partly because I despise Penny... shes just one of those people who make it impossible to get along with them
Anwyays, Mr Van Eyke (sp??) started conviscating shows for some reason, so we had a pile of shoes on the front desk (at this point everyone was glancing around at each other thinking, 'what the hell...' But yeah, it was funny when Mr Cornell came in to take over... he walks in and theres this pile of shoes on the desk... his face was indescribable...
Anyways, I ahve my Literature pre-order form for next year, havent got my booklist for my other subjects yet, but I got into all the classes I wanted:
Literature
Studio Arts
Classical Societies and Cultures
Design Technology
Psychology
...and Ethics and Morality, but one unit at a year 11 level, because its a catholic school
So yeah, im really excited about Literature, the books on the booklist:
The Children's Bach - Helen Garner
The Dressmaker - Rosalie Ham
A Dolls House and Other Plays - Henrik Ibsen
The Great Gatsby - Scott Fitzgerald
The Bacchaw and Other Plays inc. The Women Of Troy - Euripides
im so happy, I dont mind the extra reading, especially when I see the year 12 english book list:
Henry Lawson Short Stories - Henry Lawson
The Kite Runner - Khaled Hosseni
The Quiet American - Vintage Classics - Graham Greene
...actually, I dont know about the latter two... but my god im glad I dont have to read a book of pieces by Henry Lawson
To think I was contemplating sticking with english...
Hmm... its been a while, and I changed my URL because too many friends had gotten a hold of it, which was getting slightly irritating...
But anyways, today I had my year 12 exam, it was a hell of alot easier than I imagined, thankfully... but in saying that I doubt I did amazingly well.
At the moment im running in and out of school, getting glandular fever (*kicks Laura* you just had to drink my water didnt you??) in the last month of school is murder.
On a happier note, I got my learners permit, however my dads car is amazingly over-sized and my mums car currently dosent have a working gearstick... so I havent gone for a lesson yet.
