I had my first day at Costco yesterday working at the front end. I'd say it was a pretty successful first day. Everyone was nice and welcoming and helpful for the most part. Being a large company and warehouse, Costco has a lot of rules and procedures, which kinda makes me nervous because I'm scared of slipping up and breaking one on accident. I was also told that I'd be mainly doing cart retrieval, but they had me boxing customers' merchandise all day yesterday. I really would rather push carts, but whatever I guess. I work again today and tomorrow. I hope I get to push carts soon. On another note, the weather is AMAZING right now. I woke up at 8 and couldn't really get back to sleep so I went to the park and shot some hoops.

is dilapidated. To anyone who is reading this, I'm 20. I live in Tempe, Arizona. I'm a sophomore at Arizona State. I'm majoring in accounting. I just got a job working at Costco. I have my first day (orientation) on Tuesday. I'll be starting at 11 dollars an hour and get paid time and a half on Sundays. I'll mostly be pushing carts. They'll rotate me inside as a cashier assistant over the summer because it gets so hot, but I'll be pushing carts for the most part. I have a lot of schoolwork this month, but at least the semester is coming to an end. Then I have summer classes to go to. I'm taking one in the first five week session and another one in the second. The first is a really easy-sounding lab science (Anthropology 104 - Bones, Stones and Human Evolution). I'm taking it wish Josie. It should be fun. The second is Communication in Business and the Professions (COM 259). It's completely online. I'm trying to decide whether or not I want to take it for certain. It costs a little over 800 dollars, so it's pretty expensive. Anyway, summer should be cool. My most immediate anxiety is being able to wrap up this semester on a high note while working. I'm not seeing Kendall anymore. I've decided she's totally fucking nuts. I don't have anything in common with her, and she's crazy. She's a lying, smoking, drunk slut who changes her mind every two seconds. I'm actually pretty content being alone, at the moment, so I'm going to have to be quite impressed by someone in order to start dating again immediately.

i got the new family guy dvd today! only was able to watch a couple episodes of it though. today was really boring and lonely. i think i might go home tomorrow and go in the jacuzzi. that would be nice. what little relationship remains with sara is deteriorating. we dont talk a lot. and when we do talk, its random meaningless chatter. she is determined to move on with or without me. i'm looking forward to friday. it should be fun. my cousin is gonna be in town from chicago, PS3 comes out, and so does the new bond movie :)

last night was pretty rough. i stayed up working on a spreadsheet for accounting that i didnt really have to do in the end. i didnt really even get that much done. then i didnt have any coffee filters so i had to run and get some because it was already too late for me to be deprived of coffee in the morning. i stayed up late talking to sara and didn't get to bed until around 3:30, only to have to wake up at 6:20 to go sit in calculus 3. i have yet another midterm in geology tomorrow, so i am going to study now until CIS, then study some more. i got an 84 on the CIS test i just took. pretty dissapointing. that class is supposed to be really easy for me. i'm going to be upset if i get a B. i got an 85 on my accounting test that i just took, which is pretty good because its a hard class. anyway, we were supposed to have an extra credit assignment in CIS. part of it was to attend the girls volleyball game last thursday, which i didnt. they said there would be an alternate assignment for those who couldnt attend, but there hasnt been anything posted. they posted instructions for an assignment that i believe was to be done IN ADDITION to attending the game, but the file is corrupt and you can't even look at the instructions. there have been a thousand emails about the file, but still, it is not fixed. i hate this class so much. they are so disorganized. they didn't even post an announcement on blackboard about any EC or the volleyball game. the last test i took was worded so terribly. god.

so yeah. i dont really update in this diary often, so i think its probably about time i start doing so. this weekend has been pretty nice and relaxing. although i have part 2 of my accounting test tomorrow, i got to relax a little bit. since i had 4 midterms last week, these couple of days have seemed minuscule in work by comparison. friday night i saw borat with my roommate ryan. that movie was incredibly outrageous. it was rediculously outrageous. it was INCREDULOUSLY outrageous (lol). anyway, its a great movie if you're into that kind of humor. yesterday was VERY uneventful. i sat around and played final fantasy tactics and then just hung out with dan since ryan was gone. its really late right now and i have a test at 9:40, so i'll elaborate more when i have more time. jim

I'm really excited to go to Chicago. I'm just worried about getting warm clothes. I don't want to spend a lot of money. My mom gave me 50 dollars today, because I was going to the market to get stuff for dinner and she said she would transfer money into my account. I was expecting her to give me like 10 dollars or something but she gave me 50! I'm studying a lot. I can't wait for finals to be over so I can have fun in Chicago and relax during winter break.

Ok, so yeah. I'm pretty content right now. Just been going to school, spending time with Sara, hanging out with my friends, and studying for the most part. I would really like to get a 4.0 this semester but I don't think it's going to happen. However, I don't think I will go unsatisfied. I'm pretty excited for winter break. I'm going to Chicago with Sara, Daniel, and Josie. It should be a lot of fun. Then it's Christmas! My favorite time of the year. I'm also pretty psyched for Thanksgiving. Good food is always a good thing. I've been looking into different options at ASU. I am on a Psychology, pre-med track at the moment. However, I have been getting way back into the law thing right now. I'm going to do pre-med classes next semester just in case, but I am definitely more interested in law at the moment.

Wow. I hate ASU advisors. I write this detailed e mail describing my situation, and they respond in 1 sentence, telling me to look at the FAQ on the website (which I had already read). Wtf? Are all of them this thorough, or is it ASU policy to respond in 1 fucking sentence? I am needlessly obsessing over all of this shit, and they can’t find one minute to empathize and tell me something helpful. "Pre-law" is fucking redundant!

I can't wait to see Sara tomorrow!!!!!

Well this weekend was totaly lazy and awesome. Hung out with Sara the whole time. She spent the night twice! :D We saw Fantastic 4 on friday. It was pretty good. Good, but not that good. Sara wanted to buy Kingdom Hearts for PS2, so on saturday we went to gamecrazy and got it for 20 bux since its a "greatest hit." Then we just basically sat around and played video games all weekend. It was awesome.

I'm at work as I write this entry. On July 4th, Sara came over and hung out. It was cool until I decided to smoke a giant cigar with my dad. That was too much. Towards the end of the cigar I started getting sick. I got really nauxious and eventually threw up. Well..I didn't have to throw up, but I stuck my finger down my throat to make me throw up because I knew I would feel better. And I did. I felt way better. The best part of that night was falling asleep next to Sara. She spent the night and left in the morning when I went to work cuz she had that day off. It was really nice. Yesterday Daniel came back in town. He got Ryan this hilarious penis ash tray, hahahaha. Anyway. Daniel, Ryan, Mikey, Greg, and I went to see War of the Worlds. It was really cool. I thoroughly enjoyed it. After that we were going to go see Gatsby's American Dream play at Modified Arts, but it turned out their trailor blew up or something so they weren't playing that night. Bummer. Instead we went to eat at TeePee restaurant. They're all bushites, but damn, the food was delicious. Then we went back to Ryan's. Ryan's dad is so cool he covered the whole food bill for us.

Today I went to Fry's with my dad. We got a new HD for the family computer (200 GB) and some other shiet. Then we went to costco and spent a bunch of money there. After that I went to eat lunch/dinner with Sara at this pasta place by her work, then I hung around her work and bugged her some, then finally left haha. Then I went home for a bit and burned a couple CDs (1 for her). Then I went to her house to see her after work and bought her some flowers on the way :) I hung out there with her neighbors Bob and Dale. It was fun. Went home at like 10:50 and watched adult swim till about 12:30. Inuyasha is too damn short. seriously. I've been sitting on my ass since then and I'm about to get ready for bed. jimmy

I got paid today! $641.04 for 2 weeks and 2 days. I realized tho that it says I'm making 10 dollars an hour. I thought I was spose to be making 9. So I sent an email to find out and make sure I'm not being overpaid. Anyway.. Today was good. Worked till 4. Sara came over when she got off. We went out to dinner with my dad to this place called Taco Del Mar that's new to the area. Think it's a franchise from Cali. It was nice to be out with Sara and my dad. The food was ok. Not spectacular. All in all a good day, I'd say. And it's friday and I have monday off cuz its the 4th of july! woot.

today was awesome. I had a kickass time at work. I got to edit the Oracle-based software, too. I'm a nerd. Anyway, Sara took me out to lunch. Then when I got off we painted her room! It was fun cuz I never did that before. I wanna paint my room.

today I used my debit card for the first time. I bought a Vitamin Water from Fry's. Today I hung out with Sara and we went to the mall with my mom and sister. It was cool until my feet started to hurt from walking around a lot. I'm supposed wear orthotics (corrective footwear) and when I don't wear them and do a lot of walking my feet start to hurt. Well, I wore sandals to the mall. Anyway, we went into this store called Chinese Chic. I just discovered my favorite store in the mall. I was so mad that I forgot my wallet. Then we went to the book store and I got Naked by David Sedaris. All in all it was a good day!
