The creatures of the Earth hide behide your arms Creatures of the wild, water, air, and farm They retreat because the heat is pounding on thier back And live inside your heart when the sky turns black You let me on to you by growing very strong To hold my weight on your head while I sit there long Then you beckon me to retreat from coming cold And watch my safe steps are your arms begin to fold Comes the cold and I sit home watching as you sleep Scared that I can't warm you although you sleep so deep Then the storm has past and the whether seems so clear You beckon me to come so that I will have no fear.
