I have decided to write this entry as a response to those that disagreed to staceys entry on homosexualality. I do not know if you consider yourself to be a christian or not. Either way I invite you to read this. I am starting this with no Idea of when I am going to stop. So short or long, I pray that God may use this to impact you life , one way or another. First off I would like to contimplate on the human side of this. Just what is the purpose of lablin one thing male and the other female? Is it not a discription of not only gender, but the interconnecting of things. As a mechanic I am faced with this sort of description every day. Electrical connectors are not beings, therfor the description is not sexual in nature. There is a male end of a connector and there is a female end of a connector, they only connect to each other. You cannot plug two male connectors together it is impossible. Only the male and female connectors truely connect, this is the only way the electrical current passes from one connector to the next, it is the only way that makes everything work properly. Now no these are not people, but isnt this the same basic idea behind sex? Procreation? Two men cannot have a baby together, nor can two women. Only a man and a women can create that which is life. That is how it works. Not only with humans but animals and plants. It is evident in nature itself. I for one thank God for it. Now onto the scriptural side of things. i remind all of you, that, our God is not a small god, But is a mighty GOD. He is the begining and the end, and He does have a say as to what is or is not allowed amongst His people. So why then if you are a christian should you know and believe that any form of homosexuality is wrong? Because it is in the scriptures itself. That is why. I have heard the phrase before and still continue to hear it to this day, but it is the honest truth. God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. This right here helps to explain why nature itself has its male and female components. Because GOD! created , from the begining of the earth, male and female. Not only did he creat them, but he created them for each other. Don't believe me? Read Genisis. Its the very first book of the bible you cant miss it. So then does God think homosexuality is wrong? You betcha. But dont take my word for it. Take a look in your bible. "Leviticus 18: 22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination. 23 And you shall not lie with any beast and defile yourself with it, neither shall any woman give herself to a beast to lie with it: it is perversion. 24 "Do not defile yourselves by any of these things, for by all these the nations I am casting out before you defiled themselves; 25 and the land became defiled, so that I punished its iniquity, and the land vomited out its inhabitants. 26 But you shall keep my statutes and my ordinances and do none of these abominations, either the native or the stranger who sojourns among you 27 (for all of these abominations the men of the land did, who were before you, so that the land became defiled); 28 lest the land vomit you out, when you defile it, as it vomited out the nation that was before you. 29 For whoever shall do any of these abominations, the persons that do them shall be cut off from among their people. 30 So keep my charge never to practice any of these abominable customs which were practiced before you, and never to defile yourselves by them: I am the LORD your God."" Alot of just terrible gross things in this scripture. But did you see it? verse 22. "22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination." Seems pretty clear there that it IS an abomination. What does abomination mean? You must first go back to the root word, abominable. The word itself means, "worthy of or causing disgust or hatred", or it can also mean" quite disagreeable or unpleasant". Doent seem to me that God is thinking anything too great about it if He's calling it an abomination. "Well thats the old testament." Well yes it is. But hey, guess what. Ive got more. One of the wonderful attributes of God is that he never changes. He is the same allways. And that is why it is in the new testiment also. :) So if you would please, either read here or in you own bible this passage from the new testiment. "Romans 1: 20 Ever since the creation of the world his invisible nature, namely, his eternal power and deity, has been clearly perceived in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse; 21 for although they knew God they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking and their senseless minds were darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man or birds or animals or reptiles. 24 Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, 25 because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever! Amen. 26 For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. Their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural, 27 and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in their own persons the due penalty for their error. 28 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a base mind and to improper conduct. 29 They were filled with all manner of wickedness, evil, covetousness, malice. Full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity, they are gossips, 30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31 foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32 Though they know God's decree that those who do such things deserve to die, they not only do them but approve those who practice them." I could spend the whole time telling you what I think about homosexuality, but the plain truth is, I am a man. A sinner at best, and my ideas, my philosiphys, if not based on the truth found in Christ Jesus, are simply wasted words of a fool that claims to be wise. That is why I share with you the scripture. The TRUTH! For the Word is inspired by God Himself, and he IS perfect. As a claimed christian it is important to know what you believe not because it is what you want to believe. But because it is what the scriptures say is true. 2nd timothy 3: 1 But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of stress. 2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 inhuman, implacable, slanderers, profligates, fierce, haters of good, 4 treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding the form of religion but denying the power of it. Avoid such people. 6 For among them are those who make their way into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and swayed by various impulses, 7 who will listen to anybody and can never arrive at a knowledge of the truth. 8 As Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men of corrupt mind and counterfeit faith; 9 but they will not get very far, for their folly will be plain to all, as was that of those two men. 10 Now you have observed my teaching, my conduct, my aim in life, my faith, my patience, my love, my steadfastness, 11 my persecutions, my sufferings, what befell me at Antioch, at Ico'nium, and at Lystra, what persecutions I endured; yet from them all the Lord rescued me. 12 Indeed all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, 13 while evil men and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceivers and deceived. 14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it 15 and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings which are able to instruct you for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. To be a christian is to believe the WHOLE word of God. To pick and choose out of it what you want is not christainity but is a relegion of your choosing. Thus why verse 16 is so important. "All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, ". It is all usefull, even the most insignificant part. Oh my dear brothers and sisters, we must take a stand for what the word says is wrong. Not because we are Harsh minded, narrow, biggited or judgemental. But because God has said! As far as concidering a Homosexual person to be the same as a murderer as far as sin is considered. Then it is also true that the Homosexual person is the same as a lier. Well then as a lier, your sin is also equal to that of a homosexual. God see's sin for what it is, SIN. Not all sin, like they are all the little white lies, but indeed SIN in its fullness. For sin is our way of saying " NOT YOUR WILL LORD! BUT MY OWN!" and is a seperation between God and ourselves. And I can think of nothing worse than to be seperated from the allmighty Father. As far as my view on the marrige issue. Genesis 2: "24 Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and cleaves to his wife, and they become one flesh." I truely pray that this finds you well and that perhaps, you now understand at least what and why I belive, and also why Stacey said what she did. She spoke the truth and as often happens it is not recieved with joy and humility.
