Winding Down

Only 4 more days of class left before finals. This is both a good and bad thing. Good in the fact that the semester is almost over and bad because I'm going to be cramming like mad for about a week. Everything seems to be going on at once. All the professors seem to think that their class is the only one we have and are assigning incredible amounts of reading and big projects. Didn't they learn when they were in school what worked and what didn't? My roommate certainly feels this way. She is an education major and says that when she starts to teach, she will not backload the classes like so many of our profs do, and I back her 100%. I was inducted into Delta Mu Delta today. There were only 5 of us, much less than I actually expected. But it was good and short and they gave us a cool pin and certificate. Oh, I also got treasurer for Lions Club last night!! I'm excited about it because it will be really good for the school and community, but I just hope I'm not getting in over my head. Next semester I'll be taking 17 hours of upper level business classes and 10 hours of choir a week, in addition I'll also be holding 3 offices and be in AKPsi which holds meetings every week. I'm sure I'll be fine, and if I need to I can always get help or drop a class. We're already starting to pack up our room. It's a little sad to me. Watching everything come down from its "place" seems depressing to me. Although I really don't like our room because it's the size of a closet, it has become home, a place to come and just be. We still haven't gotten our housing assignments for next year, but hopefully we will be where we want and not get stuck back where we are now. I've already started accumulating stuff for the apartment. I now have pots, pans, plates, bowls and a spice rack. We'll have the best apartment around!! Well, I'd better stop procrastinating and actually try to get some reading done for tomorrow...
