exhumed the rhetoric

Listening to: ATDI - Alpha Centauri
Feeling: icky
theres no "mood" called itchy... ha, anyway so last night i was just randomly thinking back to times, mainly brought back into my thoughts by these greek stories i had to read. they were about Hera and her "ugly" son whom she sent off to live under the ocean cuz he wasnt beautiful like her. An he became vengeful but in the end made peace with his parents. another story bout a boy whos mother married the moon god and she dug up a forbidden turnip on heaven an was sent back to earth with her son an she died of sadness... then her son had a scar on his face an the girl he loved didnt give him the time of day because of it. so he went off to find his grandfather, the sun god cuz he could rid him of the scar. but on the way he found his father fighting some monsters so he helped him an his grandfather rewarded him by taking the scar away and teaching him about the sun ritual and gave him a flute to win the heart of the one he loves... then another story bout achilles and how his mother wanted him to be like her and not like his father, a mortal. so she secretely took him to the water of styx and dipped him in there holding him by the ankle to make him immortal. but then he had that one flaw or mortality in his ankle which ultimately killed him. so even if you try to make your child live up to your expectations, you cant cheat the fates... moral of the story is that made me think of chicken run, that was a badass movie.
