My 11 1/2 hour bike trip

I decided that since I haven't really been using my summer to its fullest potential, and having recently watched My Dinner with Andre, I should have a thoroughly memorable day. I set my alarm for 4:30. I fell asleep at about 2. I woke up with 2 1/2 hours of sleep, ate some nothings for breakfast (bread and milk), showered, dressed, and left on my bike at 5:30. Starting off towards Northgate, things went pretty smoothly, even though I was going uphill most of the way. I crossed the highway underpass at Northgate, passed by the community college and outpatient hospital, and made my way to Roosevelt. I went to Whole Foods to see if Dad was there (no), and checked the hours at the Go center. Then I biked to Greenlake. I lapped Greenlake three times. It felt great to be out so early. There were lots of bikers out in the morning. I made three laps, and my legs felt the burn. Starbucks was close by, and I sat on the upper balcony and had a croissant and some water. After that, I struggled to find good directions to Fremont, but I couldn't get any, so I ended up at the Woodland Park Zoo instead. I decided not to pay the 10 dollars to go in, but I got information on volunteering, just in case I feel like volunteering there. After that, I went down some huge hills that I was sure were going to kill me, but luckily there were few people on the roads and I crashed into nothing. I discovered something about being in Ballard: I never want to be there again. It's full of slum-like buildings and white trashy types. I found the Burke-Gilman, luckily, and biked to Fremont. By this time I was fully aware of the fact that my legs were throbbing, and there was a part near my knee that hurt if it touched anything. I kept going, though. At Fremont I went into Dusty Strings. The lady there got my a glass of water, but she was suspiciously nice, like she defenitely wanted me to buy something. Maybe I'm just being paranoid. Anyway, I looked at some instruments, and played one of the classical guitars. Their door is awesome, they have a pick attached to the top of it so that when you opened or close it it strums a mountain dulcimer just above the doorway. I left, got a muffin at the Starbucks across the street, and then hopped back onto the Burke-Gilman. When I got to the university library area, I got off the Burke-Gilman, parked my bike, and realized that I was at the wrong building. The library was close though. I asked the person at the desk if I could use their phone, and they said no. Oh well. I just biked to the Ave and went into the U. Book Store. They let me use their phone, and I told mom I was fine. I took a peak at some music books before leaving. There was this woman outside that wanted me to join this environmental organization. I was going to do it, but she thought I was 18 and I was not. I'm kind of glad, because this way I'm not getting nagged for money. I went into Pagliacci's and got two slices of pizza. Yum. I walked slowly into the Go Center to see if anyone was there, but it was just this man turned away from me on his cell phone. I left without making a sound. After that, kind of at a loss as to what to do, I biked up Roosevelt to The Trading Musician. I had never been in there, but it is the best music store I've seen so far. They are much nicer than Dusty Strings. Sure, they're less ornate, they probably don't have workshops, and the employees probably don't know as much, but they obviously do a good business. They don't bother you to buy things, and they have so many instruments. I played some of their guitars and they are beautiful, and boy are they cheap! I must get one ASAP. :-D After that, I biked towards Greenlake again, decided "screw that" and biked up to Scarecrow Video. If anyone is actually reading this (probably not, it's really long) Scarecrow Video is the best video store on the planet, or at least in the city of Seattle. If they don't have it, it may not exist. They're not like Blockbuster, lining shelves with copies of one hit movie. They have shelves and shelves of films, and their upstairs have them divided into categories (special interest, war, etc). Some of the films are so rare that you have to give them up to 1,500 dollars when you check them out, and they don't give it back unless you can return the movie. It's really awesome. I sure hope I'm not forgetting anything that I did. It was a very long day. Damnit! I had so much written, and I tried to send it, but it had logged me out and I lost half of it. Stupid SitDiary. I want to go to bed, so I'm going to write a little less than before. I went to Half Price Books and read some stuff about lucid dreaming. I want to try it sometime, I get a book on it and such. It would be interesting, if not addicting. I went to the Go Center. Jan was there, and he gave me some puzzles to work on. I heard him chatting about a tournament coming up, and he sounded really excited and competetive. It was good. I left. Before I went home, as I had little else to do, I saw the most masculine looking woman of my life. We get a lot of fringe people around here, so I'm used to your typical lesbian, but I was sure that this must be a man with testicular cancer or something. It was kind of shocking. I went by Greenlake, and then biked home, totally exhausted. I stopped by seven eleven and got some Gatorade on the way home. There was a girl who wanted me to buy her cigarettes and a crazy old guy with some tobacco. I made it home. Mom wasn't there. Morgan came by and got her bracelet. She cut her hair, I wish she hadn't, it was so gorgous. I then fell asleep until 10:30, when I got up, ate and drank, talked to Liz, and started typing this. My mom is sleeping with Bruce again. I wish she hadn't said "don't assume anything" to us, does she really think we're that gullible? Of course they're having sex. I feel very happy now, I feel more myself than usual. It's like this day by myself all throughout town has brought me back home, if you will. Joey

Thank you. :-)
I hate it when people join, make like 4 entries, and then disappear.
