Listening to: Passing Through - Mankind is Obsolete
Feeling: adventurous
A fallen dream once with wings of sapphires, her azure eyes gaze over the frozen tundras of her new grave. With a single blast, he had taken everything from her, from the Aspect. One proud time ago, she would have called him father, but the ideals of a dragon are far too high beyond the whims of a young dragon. Yet now, she lies. Her mother is a few yards behind her, crying out for their Aspect or anyone to hear.
'Help me. Aid me. Someone must be there.'
Her eyes closed slowly. She would not call out to her mother. She couldn't move either. What help would she be to reach their sacred dying grounds? She was dying, too.
Eventually, the cries from her mother stopped. The dragon felt a deep sorrow rise from near by. Whether it be the great Aspect or the soul of her once magnificent mother, she couldn't tell, but it seemed that sorrow would be all she felt at the end. Yet, something strange came close to her. But nothing else seemed as strange as a broken dragon lying against the frozen wastelands in the cold north.
"Rise great one," a strange voice came. "I will help you."
Her eyes shifted, as did her body. Both wings were broken from her fall. One was torn so horribly that not even the Dragon Queen could repair it, but she rose. Her legs seemed to be okay. Only a few sharp pains whenever she put pressure on them seemed to be the case. Her eyes scaled over her body. Chunks of her scales were ripped off. She deemed them from the blast of their new enemy. It was hard to tell now if she was of the Azure Dragonflight or a new species with just pure flesh.
"Quickly, great one. You cannot survive long out here."
"Where are you?" she asked, her eyes looking around her. There was nothing but blinding snow in the winds. The ice that pelted her body stung in the places that were bleeding and free of her once beautiful scales. This dragon used to be the pride of the Azure Flight and of her father. Now it would hardly show that this creature was worth anything.
"I am here, great one."
A small lizard like creature emerged from the snows. It was black in color with a long tail that seemed to be a whip in the wind. It looked upon her with gray, pupil-less eyes. She didn't know whether or not to trust the creature, but it seemed to be there to help her. Despite all of the strength she once possessed, the dragon collapsed again. She cried out in pain, tearing her skin once more. Her red blood spilled onto the snow.
"Careful, great one. Your body isss in disssarray. I have come here to help you. In turn, I wish for you to do the sssame," it spoke with a serpent-like lisp.
She watched it closely. A white tongue flickered in and out of it's mouth as it circled around her. She suddenly realized what the creature was doing.
"Where are you taking me?" she demanded, really in no position to fight back.
The creature chuckled. "To my home, of course. Once the portal clossses, we will be trapped here and you will die."
She snarled, but could not protest. Of course, what the creature meant by through the portal confused the dragon. He had to have meant the Well of Eternity. She had gone there with Aspects in order to shut off the Well from the world and hopefully save the Night Elves. Was this creature from the other side?
"Why should I trust you?"
His eyes looked at her as he finished drawing circles in the snow. "Because you are the one to sssave us. Our Lord saw thisss and sent me to sssave you," he replied, continuing with his work. Whatever he was prepared to do, she could not argue. The idea to be saved was much more of an idea then to die in the frozen wastes far from Dragonblight.
"I wish to know your name, great one."
His voice startled her. She shifted slightly, not really able to do much more without ripping her skin more. In hesitation, she spoke.
"I am Talagosa."
"Pleasssure iss mine."
With that, he closed his fists together and the great dragon disappeared with her savior to the other side of the Well.
