HOLY CRAP!! I just got a phone call..from this guy..who sounded soo much like Tyler..it was the strangest thing..my heart started beating so fast towards the end..it was the wrong number, and the guy's name was Daniel or something..and stupid me, I just said good bye, I'm thinkin he wanted to talk more..he said I had a nice voice..I told him his voice sounded familiar..soo weird..ahhhhh frickin Tyler..why do I have to like him soo much? Dammit, this sucks.. Well my phone rang, and I heard a male's voice..I thought it was Matt, who I was just thanking God cuz he hasn't called me anymore..so when he asked who's this? I told him, Vannessa..then I asked who he was, but he said "I think I have the wrong number..is.so and so there?" Ello all! How's it goin..boy do I have an update..however I don't really feel like writing about it..therefore instead I'm going to write about my worries.. So apparently all of my friends are loosing their virginities.. Lynda lost it last year..right before she turned 17.. Jami lost it even before her..she was with her boyfriend for five months when she did.. edit:(she lost it when she was 17, she still is) Natalie lost it on Thursday..however I'm not suppose to know about her..She definitely wasn't ready for it.. edit:(she's 17, and she's only known her boyfriend for 5 months) Jami made me pinky swear not to say anything to anyone..so I'm writing here..it's hard not to..it's so shocking. I forget who else has.. anyways..each one I mentioned above said they were going to wait until they were married..Lynda then said she wasn't sure..and stopped saying she was going to wait..Jami continuously would say it, but the way she would talk about things, made me think she was..Natalie said she was waiting, cuz she was raised that way..to wait till she was married..But with all them I wanted to give them the benifit of the doubt..Jami and Lynda were definitely ready when they did it, and in "love" Natalie not so much..I don't think she's in love yet..her relationship with him..isn't mature..it's still very juevenile..they're like children, ya know? Natalie is a very sexual person as it is..so when she first told me she was waiting till marriage...I couldn't believe her..I was surprised..but she was determined.. anyways..for Natalie..I heard she seems like she regrets it..it was two hours of foreplay and five minutes of sex..lol..I laughed my ass off..so did Jared when Jami told him..I can't blame him..but Natalie said it didn't hurt it, in fact it felt good..Jami says it hurt the first four times, Lynda says it didn't hurt her..Lynda also went at it for about two hours or so with her boyfriend..Jami cried at the end, cuz her boyfriend told her he loved her.. now my worries.. Ok, so here's what's been goin on lately...Jami and I went to a Curtis Peoples concert on the 14th of January..so not too long ago. Well turns out Curtis dropped his cell in the toilet and therefore couldn't call Jami..which was true he did. Then he voluntarily suggested to call Jami's cell so that she could have his number. Anyways his show was awesome. We talked after the show. I told him he owed me a talk..he did his famous chuckle (very cute by the way) and he was going to invite us to go with him, but we're not 21 or older..so we couldn't go..anyways..funny story..I'm Jami's good luck charm..cuz whenever she calls him he doesn't answer..however if I'm around her he does pick up..weird..I know. Then the boy rarely calls her..so I left him a voicemail..and he called her back.. anyways moving on Jami and I were so excited cuz Curtis had a concert pretty much every Friday except the 7th which worked out perfectly cuz we got to go see our friend's play at the Cobalt cafe (all the bands sucked by the way) the speakers were horrible..anyways..so on Friday the one that just passed the 21st we were suppose to go see Curtis, but we found out it was 2 and a half hours drive..so we weren't going to tell Jami's mom, but had to..so she didn't let us go.. Instead we got to see my penguin Tyler on TRL. We were so happy for him he looked soo excited..awe the look in his eyes...and his smile..anyways..so that night Curtis calls Jami, awesome stuff huh...? Well Jami calls me and says "guess you I just talked to for eleven minutes" I say "no fricken way!!" and she says "yup" and she then tells me "and guess what we talked about" "what?" "you and Tyler" "haha that's so awesome..what else? tell me every detail" so she told me..and she had told Curtis how I think Tyler and I are meant to be together and Curtis said how that's not a bad thing to think or something like that..and she said he kept on repeating that..and they talked about Maverick the record label..and Ryan Cabrera..etc..and how he had to play for four hours..and was soo tired..and how he when he got to his room he was going to take a bath.. oh and also he asked if she had seen Tyler on TRL and she said yea, and he felt bad cuz he didn't.. anyways...we talked for I don't know how long..then we decided to hang up and go to sleep.. EIGHT O CLOCK in the morning I hear my phone ring..I for some reason simply rolled over and picked up the phone...it was Jami..telling me how her mom said if we got a hotel room we could go to Curtis' concert...we started freaking out..she told me how she was telling her mom how we were joking around about if he'd let us stay in his room we'd so go..and this and that..and so her mom told her "why don't you just get a room for yourself..?" so basically her mom didn't want her driving late at night for 2 and a half hours..but if we stayed the night it'd be ok..(oh yea Curtis played two nights in a row at the same place) so ROAD TRIP... Now I only had to see if my mom would let me go, which I would have gone anyway..actually probably not cuz I'd feel guilty and I wouldn't have a fun time..but still..so I prayed to the Lord..please please let my mom let me go..and you know what..? so far God's been answering my prayers...slowly but surely..it's so awesome..so anyways, I did my daily excersize, washed my bathroom, and cleaned my room, and told my mom about Palm Springs..well Rancho Mirage..close though.. This was officially our first real adult thing to do..ya know? staying at a hotel with no parents..(we paid for it ourselves) anyways so my mom said well let me talk to Jami's mom..she did..and it was all ok..my mom wanted us to stay at a hotel though not a motel cuz people go to motels just to have sex and it's dirty and grosse..so Jami's mom told my mom she'd have Jami look online..and guess where she had us stay..The Hilton lol...anyways I thought it was funny..so One o clock rolled by and (I'm pretty sure that's what time we left or maybe it was 1:30) anyways..we went to the bank and to Rite Aid, and headed off to Rancho Mirage we were so excited.. She took her video camera so I talked into it and explained what was goin on.. We put in a bunch of cd's listened to music, sang..laughed..finally we got there. Well it had turned out that the directions she had gotten made up two streets..so we got a little lost..we stopped and I asked for directions twice..finally got there.. We checked in Jami washed her hair cuz it had this stuff to make it healthier (she had gone to go get her hair trimmed earlier that day) and then she blow dried it..I put my converse on (cuz I was wearing sandals) then we were both ready.. We walked over to The River cuz it was right across the street..it was a little passed six..and she saw him..he was setting up..so we went to go say hi..he's a definite hugger..man, if I had to describe him in one word it'd be hugger or huggable..somewhere on the lines of that.. So his eyes lit up and he said "you guys came!" he looked happy to see us..he hugged me then Jami..and we said hey hey...blah blah blah..we sat and watched his first set..Jami and I were hungry though..but we made it through..so in the middle of his first set I yelled "Curtis, can you sing 'Something Honest'" he said sure just give me a sec..he sang a U2 song and then said "ok a friend of mine requested this song, so I'm going to sing it, it's on of my songs" so he did it was awesome. So when his break came up we went up to him and he said "food?" and we said "yea, we're hungry" and he said "oh that's ok, go for it" we asked him if he wanted anything, he said no he had just had Baja Fresh..something tacos..so then we went, ate, ordered hot chocolate cuz it was cold outside and we didn't have our jackets.. Jami took a sip of her hot chocolate and it was lukewarm so I was like "I don't want to burn my tongue..is it hot?" she told me no..so I took a sip and ended up burning my tongue..(oh we went to Johnny Rockets by the way..I wanted to go to the Cheesecake Factory) well anyways, we went to go watch him again..and Jami's hot chocolate was horrible..she told me..just to warn you chunks of chocolate come out..and desolve in your mouth (powdered chunks)so I was like ok..well she had to end up throwing it away cuz there were so many things wrong with that cup of hot chocolate, mine was good though...cuz it was hot and was able to disolve the chocolate powder.. oh yea Curtis had told us how his roomate was around..when we first got there..we had asked him what he was doing afterwards..he said it depended he might be leaving..then Jami mentioned how we got a room just for him..and he thought she meant FOR him..but she said no to go see him..and so he said "oh ok I'm staying then" so he said he'd hang out with us.. anyways back to where I was..we got really cold so we decided after his second set we'd go back to our room and get our jacket/sweatshirt...(oh yea other side note..when we went to go eat well before we went to go eat I had told Curtis to sing "Motown Morning" cuz Jami loves that song and to dedicate it to her.. he said ok) well when he sang it he didn't dedicate it to her..bastard..but that's ok I understand..it's a personal song..and the lyrics..well you can't dedicate that song yet..kinda thing, ya know? He was looking around for his parents..which is funny cuz I told Jami they'd go and she said no they live in San Diego..but yes once again Vannessa (me) was once again right. lol..so then he left..and we left to get our jacket/sweatshirt. So when we got back to our room Jami fixed her hair and saw what I was talkin about..etc..we layed down and watched "Will and Grace" it was the one with Matt Damon..twas funny..we started laughing cuz we drove all the way there to see Curtis..and we were watching "Will and Grace" (we got a room with two queen size beds) When the show was over which it only went for 15 minutes..cuz we caught it mid way..we got up and got our stuff jacket/sweatshirt included..I think we already had them on.. we walked back..watched Curtis..stuff happened..blah blah blah..ok..so finally he was down..he finished a little early cuz he was really tired..then this guy went up to him..and would not shut up..talked while he had his cigarette of some sort in his mouth..Curtis looked bored..then this girl came looking for that guy finally took him away..and Curts told us how he was gonna see what his roomate and his roomate's girlfriend wanted to do..so we could all hang out..he came back and told us how his girlfriend's roomate had to leave early to go to san diego..and how they're two of his oldest friends..and his roomates grandmother used to live around there but died last year or something..and how close he was to her..so they were gonna go to her grave..and he felt like he needed or had to go..so anyways..he said they were gonna go to sleep and we could go to Borders to get coffee..so we were like ok.. Jami understood all of us were going to hang out but I understood the 3 of us..so she panicked a tad bit..but it turned out I was right..after he finished packing all his stuff and putting it in his car he came back..and we all went to Borders (the three of us) so he opened the door for us..very gentlemen like..we got in line..I was looking at the desserts..looked very yummy I wanted to get the brownie but then I'd have to get a milk..and I didn't want chocolate all over my teeth..so I got a chocolate chip cookie instead and hot chocolate..I still wanted my milk..and Jami just got a hot chocolate..then Curtis went to order..he fricken got what I was going to get..which I thought was cute..he got the brownie and cold milk...lol so oh yea while I was waiting to order he touched me with his money or tapped me and asked if I watched TRL...I said yes..and told him how cute Tyler looked..and how happy and excited he looked..and he said how missed it..but Tyler called him afterwards and told him how excited he was or something..so that was cool..oh yea while in line I gave him a hard time about not picking up his phone..or returning his phone calls..he says he learned from Tyler to just turn off the phone and listen to his voice mails..I thought it was funny cute.. anyways..we went to go sit down..and our hot chocolates this time was much better..then Curtis got up to get napkins..and brought us all one..which was another gentlemen like thing to do..so then they weren't talking so I did a lot of the talking..and I asked Curtis "so when are you guys going out" and he shoots back with "when are you going to ask Tyler out?" he totally caught me off gaurd with that one..I started laughing.."well give me his number.." and I just looked at him..then somehow I worked in "well when are you going to hook us up?" I may have put that out of order, but anyway..he just chuckled..and I said "I'm serious" and he laughed and said "I know you are" he asked me if I had talked to him..I told him sort of..more like "can you take a picture with me?" kinda thing..and he laughed and said "well he's in town in February I'll intoduce you" and I was like ok..and somehow I don't know how this came up, but I told him how I thought Tyler and I make a cute couple..and how he's my penguin..and again he chuckled and Jami was like "oh man Vannessa you make me laugh" she'd make comments like "that's why I take her on road trips with me..she makes me laugh" so I said "I'm ammusing, I guess" blah blah..oh and we talked about cd's..how that's my biggest weakness...turns out that's his biggest weakness too..lol I found we had a lot in common.. So then he asked me what my shirt said..I said "Love 2 Cuba in Scuba" which I accidently mixed up the words it really said "Love 2 Scuba in Cuba" and then Jami mentioned how that was like when I told him "I love you" yes I accidently told him that..but that was my chance to fix that..then I told him how "I love the fact that you don't smoke" and he said yea I don't like that..or this and that..and then I asked if Tyler smoked..and he said "he used to.." I was soo dissapointed..and then I asked "so he stopped?" then he responded "once in awhile" which I guess is better than before..I'd still go out with him..it's ok..no one's perfect..but Jami says what's funny is I'm so anti-smoking..and really it is funny..but that's ok..that just goes to prove how much I like him.. You'd think only I did the talking..but if I wasn't talking they were talking about me..which is why it's better they go on a date just the two of them..but anyways..you could tell he was really tired..and he kept on mentioning it..but Jami wouldn't let him go..I almost felt guilty for keeping him...but he owed us..he owed Jami..I finally got him to say when he could go out..he said Tuesday and Wednesday looked good..which both are good days for Jami..Wednesday is better though. Awesome.. Oh yea he asked us where we were staying and I told him the Hilton..and he looks at me and smiles "was that intentionally done?" and I said no..not by me..Jami did it..and she said I did it for her..blah blah blah. Oh and we talked about our backgrounds..I'm part Cuban (through my dad) and part Mexican (through my mom) and he said you don't look it..I know..I get that a lot..he said how people think he's asian..I told him I thought that..well he looked it not that he was..cuz of his eyes..and he agreed.. They talked about Jami's french class..he asked her if she was in any sports..and he asked when do we graduate..and prom..(he doesn't do high school dances by the way) and..I mentioned how I'm gonna be 19 right after I graduate..he asked when..I said July..he asked (July) what..I said 18 then he said how his birthday's August 14..very cool..(cuz he turned 19 right after high school too) so anyways..finally he got up was like "come on let's go" or something like that in a nice way of course..he kept saying how he felt like such a baby..which he looks like one cuz of his cheeks..soo adorable..he's like a total brother..totally see him as a brother..I really want him and Jami to go out..I'd like to see what happens.. So he asked if we came in our car...Jami told him no we walked..so he offered us a ride to the hotel..on the way to his car I asked him if he thought Tyler would really go out with me..he said he didn't know..but that's ok..guess I gotta find out, right? then we got in his Explorer..it was a mess but that's ok he's a busy guy..I mentioned how I saw him drinking a red bull, and how those aren't good for you..how people have died from those..he said he only had one..it did something in the beginning..but then nothing..ha, and as I was saying this he told me "are you lecturing me?" I said "yea..no.." lol it was funny..so he said he wasn't going to drink those anymore..we got lost..he was suppose to make a left..which he said he did..but Jami meant at the light..and they started "arguing" it was cute..I thought he did too..but apparently he didn't..it was funny.. So, he dropped us off..and we went in and got ready for bed..we talked quite a bit (Jami and I) I told her how excited I was..how I couldn't wait till February..she laughed and said..which is like in a week..but I was like no..the time when he's here. She didn't think any of this would happen, but I did..she couldn't believe..I could..that's the difference between me and everyone else..lol..so in the morning we checked out and wanted to eat at Mimi's cafe..cuz we kept seeing a sign for it..but we weren't sure if it was the restaurant or not..we couldn't find it and were about to go to applebee's when we found..we called Curtis to see if he wanted to eat breakfast with us..but of course he didn't pick up so I left him a message..lol Jami wanted me to. We figured he had already eaten and was more than likely gone already.. oh yea the night before he had also told us what an awesome room he got, how big it was..and he's all like I found out how much it cost..(I asked, "but they're paying for it, right?" and he said "yea") then told us four hundred something..which is more than what he was getting paid, which was funny..lol..they paid more for his room than him..and he later told us how he had to share his bed with his roomate and his roomates girlfriend..and how he was like at the edge of the bed with like nothing of covers..and was so tempted to kick them off, and be like "it's my room..you sleep on the floor" it was soo cute and funny..but he said "no, instead I just got up" poor guy..so then we bragged how we got two beds..and I added queen size beds..twas fun... so back to where I was..we ate breakfast and headed home..he had told Jami before getting out of the bed to call him when she got home to know she got home safe..that was sweet..so anyways..that's all for now..that was a lot of writing..don't really expect anyone to read it..it's really for me..to have..to remember forever lol not that I'd forget but still...take care.. vannessa oh yea Curtis has another concert on Friday this time closer..so we're gonna go see him again..good stuff..
