Enter the Nightmare - #8

As I was walking through the village to get to the inn, all of the villagers crowded around me. They started asking me about the mage. I just walked by them I was too tired to even explain what happened. When I got back to the inn Sabrina was still sleeping. So I slowly walked over to the bed and layed down beside her. As soon as I layed down I fell asleep. In the morning I woke up. Sabrina was still sleeping. I didn’t want to wake her so I layed there until she woke up. A couple minutes later she rolled over and looked at me. “Where did you go last night?” she asked me “I took a walk around the village, why?” I ask “Well I woke up and you were gone, I asked a villager and he said that you were doing the village an errand,” she explained “I did there was a black mage walking though here every night and I went to wait for him in front of the entrance to the village” I explained She smiled at me and got out of bed. She walked over to the window and started to look out at the streets. There was a sudden knock at the door. I quickly jumped out of bed to answer the door. It was a messenger boy. He handed me a letter and ran off. I started to read the letter, it was from Jericho. There was only one sentence written on it. “An undead body has been captured,” it said I crumpled the paper and tossed it into the fire. Sabrina turned around and looked at me. “What’s wrong?” she asked “I need to find Nightmare and destroy him,” I said “Well, I’m coming with you,” she said “No, it’s to dangerous for you to came, I’ll be back in a week” I said “Your right, I’ll stay here and wait for you” she said “If I want to stop Nightmare and get back here as soon as possible, I’ll have to leave right now,” I said She ran up to me with tears running down her face and rapped her arms around me tight. I didn’t know what to say to her to cheer her up. “Please Vincent, come back” she said as she looked up at me “I will, I promise,” I said Then she stopped crying. She stopped hugging me and followed me out to the village street. She stood there watching me leave. I heard her start crying again, so I turned around and waved once more before I was out of sight.
