Days one through three - picture tour

Listening to: Say Anything
Feeling: troubled
I arrived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin just a few minutes past six in the evening. Donato, Stephen and Angela picked me up and too me to Conejitos. I can't remember exactly, but I think I ordered some enchiladas. They were very good. Angela ordered us a pitcher of margaritas. After dinner, we went to the liquor store where I bought multiple bottles of really cheap Cook's champagne. We got back to my brother's house at around eight or nine that night. We all got on the topic of how half of my brother's collection of movies is unwatchable and horrible. "Such as... these." He said. These = about ten VHS tapes worth of monster truck crashes, drag racing crashes, speed boat crashes, etc. We discovered, however, that watching them muted while playing M83's Before the Dawn Heals Us is really entertaining. More than a few times does the audio sync up really well with the video. Depending on the mood of the music, I would either feel really sad or think it very funny that someone's car was getting annihilated. I was also very drunk off cheap champagne. The next morning, Donato had to go to work, so I was in the house on my own until around three in the afternoon. I took this time to take pictures of the cats. Picture A: E.T. (aka Thumbs, Gamegirl) with a crazy head-shot. You can see her thumbs. Picture B: Majestic Ruby I took the time I had left before Donato got home to walk around Bayview. My two favorite stores on Kinnikinnick Avenue have closed since I moved to the west coast, so that was quite a disappointment. R.I.P. Board Game Barrister and Harry W. Schwartz Booksellers. So I went to the quickmart and bought batteries for my camera, Potato Skins chips and a Code Red Mountain Dew. Later that evening, Donato made Waffles for Oliver and me. Afterwards, we played a game called Talisman. I was the philosopher. I lost. We also talked about how easy it would be to learn Japanese. We all may be planning on doing that soon. The next/last day went similarly. I tried to get a hold of my friend, Matt, who is currently attending the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. MIAD, if you will. He was supposed to give me a tour of the school and force me to play piano for him. He never got back to me. I was disappointed. So much so, that I'm posting his grumpy picture. So I spent most of the morning on the couch playing Phantom Hourglass and doing crossword puzzles. Don got home and we ordered pizza from Pizza Shuttle. Very tasty. While waiting for pizza, we went to the quickmart and picked up more champagne and beef jerky. Stephen later arrived just as we were starting another game of Talisman and we got him to play, too. I was a ghoul. I won. We listened to Current 93. I don't think I ever want to again. Weird boys, my brother and his roommates. After our game, we watched some Flight of the Conchords. I really like Bret. Donato fell asleep at around ten. I said goodbye to him and Stephen at around eleven as Rainbow picked me up and took me to West Bend.
