Age Of Darkness

It had started getting worse. The feeling something bad was going to happen, soon, was building. And it was tearing him apart, mentally. His emotions not reflecting it, yet, his eyes not betraying him, not showing the chaos within, but it wouldn’t be long before the chaos took over. Physically, he was fine. His ‘perfect’ body intact and untroubled, but inside he was a wreck. Everyone going about their pathetic lives as if the world around them, torn between conflict, didn’t exist. They had no idea what lied in the shadows, hiding away in the darkness of the night. The long agonising wars that had endured more than anything the humans could ever have imagined. The Age Of Darkness would soon be upon the world. All that was left to be decided was who would guide the world into the shadows. And in their victory, would they turn inwards again the allies they fought alongside in the brutal wars, or turn outwards, recruiting more and more people, killing anyone who refused to join, ready for a devastating new war, against humanity. And he was the key to it all. He was a Dark Lord, few knew his past. He was the leader and supreme commander of one-half of the army, the ruler of the whole army. But he was also one of the other side. Long before becoming the dark leader, he was a General in the army he was now against. He was leading an army against his former brothers. And their new leader was his own flesh and blood. He was fighting his Son.
