People of every stature enjoy leisure in one form or another. It may be physical activity or simply relaxing with a beer in a comfortable chair. If you like something in the middle, then five pin bowling is for you. It is very simple to understand and requires next to no physicaly demanding operations, all the while providing a comfortable social atmosphere.
Unlike other activities or sports, bowling requires a minimal amount of equipment. The only things you need are: shoes, a bowling ball, five pins, and a lane. The shoes are different from streetwear in that they have soft leather soles that grip but allow you to gently slide along the hardwood floor. The bowling ball and the pins is what make this game special and sets it apart from the traditional ten pin version. The ball is quite small and does not have any holes, so you must grip it with an open hand. Many agree that this part of the game is much more enjoyable than throwing a larger heavier ball. The pins only differ in size slightly and in number greatly. In case you haven't figured it out, there is five as opposed to ten. Why don't you call your local bowling alley and reserve a lane to make sure you won't miss out on the action.

So you've made the call...Now it's time to really let loose. The cashier will take your name(s),(whether you go alone or with friends doesn't matter, remember, it's all about the fun) and ask your shoe size. Don't be afraid to ask for a different size if the first pair doesn't fit. Often the sizes are not exactly the same as regular footwear, and it's more fun if you're feet are comfortable too. Now that you've got your shoes, it's time to lace up and hit the lanes.
Once you make your way to the assigned lane you can make yourself comfortable. Don't be intimidated by the potential prowess of the other bowlers, it is likely that they are middle aged and still live with their mothers, so in a sense you aren't doing half bad. However, there is something to be learned from them. Watch the way they handle themselves and where they try and hit the pins in order to inflict maximum damage.
Another aspect of the game is scoring, however, I have chosen to omit this topic because thanks to miraculous technological advances, the score is usually kept on a digital computer screen. Plus, the fun is in the fun, not the score. Finally, be sure to grab a few beers during and after the game. Most bowling alley's should sell beer. If not, you should find another bowling alley.
