Through out all the wedding plans Abigail tried to forget about Luke. Everything she did reminded her of Luke. She was getting worse with each day. As time drew nearer to the wedding she would disappear and not be found until nightfall. Her Mother started to worry about her.
"Stephan, I'm worried abut Abigail, she is disappearing all the time, and the wedding is a week away and she still has not been fitted for her dress." The Queen said as she looked out of the window.
"Don't worry so much, she will be fine. Don't you remember when we got married?"
"I did not hide! I was stung by a bee that morning and my face swelled up!" She stood in protest. The King laughed and gave her a kiss on the forehead.
Philip walked in with rolled up papers in his hands.
"Good morning! I have plans here for the Kingdom." He said loudly.
"Not Now Philip..." The King said as Philip slammed the papers down and rolled them out.
"I figure we can put a palace here for me and Abigail then take down that God awful cottage of Luke's. Then extend the village. Then..." He spoke fast.
"Philip, until you are King keep your plans to yourself son. My heart can't take it right now. Wait until then my boy."
"Fine." He grabbed his papers. "I will see you at supper." He stormed off.
"There is something not right with him." The Queen said as Philip shut the door.
"He's just excited, Margaret."
"I'm not sure, what is Abigail is right? Maybe they shouldn't marry."
"Now Look who's catching a fright." He laughed
"Oh, Stephan." She laughed a little.
A few days later the streets in the village were buzzing of the wedding. Abigail's parents got everything ready for the big day. They got caterers, florists, and guest from all over. The wedding was later that day and Abigail was still sleeping and her parents decided to let her sleep. When Abigail woke she found all kinds of flowers surrounding her and she sneezed. She was allergic to lilies and her room was more then half way full of them. She started sneezing and left her room and went downstairs to the dinning area. There were so many people in the palace and Abigail was still in her nightgown but she didn't mind. She was still sneezing and looking for her Mother.
"Mother!" She cried throughout the house.
Abigail walked into her Mother's room and found her staring out of the window crying.
"Mother? What's wrong?" The Queen turned around and wiped her tears away.
"Oh nothing dear, don't worry about me. What do you need?"
"No Mother, what's wrong?" She went over to her.
"Oh Abigail it's just, you are so grown up now and your getting married today." She smiled but Abigail still feels like there is more. "Abigail I just want you to make the right choose, I can't help but think that maybe this isn't a good idea."
"Oh Mother, this is the right thing to do, it's good for the Kingdom."
"No Abigail, no." She grabbed her hands and held on tight. "Is this right for you?"
"Yes Mother." Abigail knew she was referring to Luke. She started to walk towards the door.
"What did you want honey?"
"Oh nothing Mother."
She walked out of the room and leaned against the door after she closed it. She sighed almost in tears. Just when she had just gotten over the fact that she would never be with Luke again, her Mother brought it up. A chamber maid walked by and bowed to Abigail.
"Princes." The chamber maid said.
"Miss, would you please remove the lilies from my chamber? I am allergic to them and they are all over. Give them to the village on behalf of my parents."
She ran off to do her task and Abigail watched her walked away. Abigail then ran off in her own direction and out of the palace.
Hours later the wedding was about to begin but Abigail was nowhere to be found. They looked all over the palace for her and told the villagers to be on the look out for her. Philip was standing at the head of the altar waiting for her and started to get impatient. All of the guest were there and were talking very loudly. Philip did not know she was missing and stormed over to the King.
"Where is she!?" Philip said in a rage.
"She is not here. No one knows where she is." The King said with disappointment.
"Is anyone looking for her!?"
"Yes of cours, they have been looking for hours." Philip stood there steaming.
"I know were she is."
Philip walked out of the church and snapped his fingers at some guards. They all got on their horses and Philip rode away. They rode through the village and went to Luke's cottage. They got off their horses and Luke slammed the door open. Abigail was there lying infront of the fireplace crying.
"Hello Darling." Philip said with anger in his tone. Abigail stood up fast and looked at him.
"Did you forget what today is Abigail?"
"No, I have not."
"Then what is today Abigail?" She said nothing.
"WHAT IS TODAY ABIGAIL!?" He grabbed her arm and squeezed it hard.
"Our wedding day."
"What!?"
"Our wedding."
"That'z right, our wedding." He still held on to her arm and walked to the door and pushed her out.
"Burn it down." He said to one of the guards. He then walked out of the cottage and grabbed Abigail taking her to his horse.
The guard went to the fire and grabbed a piece of wood that was burnt only at one end. He started to set everything in cottage on fire and the cottage soon started to burn down. The guard ran out with the others and got on their horses. Abigail started to run towards the cottage screaming. Philip grabbed her and tried to put her on his horse. She kicked and screamed but soon enough Philip got her on the horse and rode off.
When they got to the palace Philip made her go to her room and put her dress on. He grabbed a chamber maid and told her to help her and to make sure she does not get away. Abigail put on her beautiful white gown with a very long vail. She looked just like her Mother and so beautiful. She opened the door and Philip grabbed her once again to go to the church.
They arrived at the church and Philip was still holding her arm strongly. They went into the church and as soon as they saw the guests he let go of her and linked arms with her. They slowly walked down the aisle. Abigail was crying but no one could tell because of her vail was over her face. They finally reached their destination and then started the ceremony. By the time she was to kiss Philip her tears had dried and her face was all red. This was it, with this kiss the rest of her life was over, and she knew it to.
