well, i must say i am sorry to announce they didn't meet the deadline, and also the rumors of getting close to an agreement to officialy un-cancel the season on saturday were also false as the talks they actually DID have on saturday were 6 hours of basically no progress. gretzky and lemieux were at the table, but it didn't help. their only shot now is to save the 05-06 season, which isnt looking good either.

well, don't get me wrong, i hate bettman as much as the next guy, but the story he put forth makes sense. the statistics that the levitt report provided was the basis of their argument. the nhlpa, had what? nothing.

and yeah, i can definitely agree with the argument that you made about a few big-named guys. really, that salary cap would only affect what, one or two people per team, ten if you look at the rangers? lol
