Quote of the Day
"Be brave, be bold, be free."
-Angelina Jolie
Well I got back from San Fransisco earlier today. We left at 5am on Wendsday and got back at 12:30am today [Thursday]. WE DROVE A LOT!
After we finally reached Red Wood county it was 7 hours after we started out. But there was one problem, we followed the directions perfectly but the directions were wrong. We set our destination as Country Road instead of Country Center Road. So now that we were on top of a gigantic mountain in the middle of no were we finally found a woodsmen. He told us where to go and we were on our way.
His directions were perfect and so we finally reached the county government center for San Mateo [where our case was]. It turned out that we were there the wrong day and that we drove all that time for no reason what so ever.
My mom and I decided to make the best of it and so we went and visited San Fransisco where again we got lost.
After finding San Fransisco we noticed that it started raining and the convertable we were renting had the top down. We got off at the closest exit and put our hood up and so we were fine. Until we got lost again!
We found ourselves on the Bay Bridge heading towards Oakland and there was no way getting around it. At the end of the bridge we had to turn around and go straight back to San Fransisco, again!
Now everything seemed to be fine, but it wasn't. For those of you who have never been there San Fransisco is full of one way streets and electic light rail trollies and trains. Believe me, it gets annoying. It took us 20 mins to go 2 miles because of us going around in circles. So we finally reach our destination [the fishermans wharf]. Now everything seems fine except for a little drizzle.
Of course this couldn't be the end of our bad fortune. It started POURING down rain. We then ran into a resturant for dinner and enjoyed our view of the bay and Alcatraz. Then something actually went our way, it started to thunder and lightining! After dinner we decided we had enough of San Fransisco so after looking around the Wharf a little bit we started on our way home.
After searching for the freeway for a good hour we were finally on our way back home to Ventura, CA where I could finally get some sleep and get ready for school the next day.
Eventhough all that happened I LOVED IT. Getting lost the entire time let me see a lot of San Fransisco and unfortunly Oakland. I had a good time and if I had the chance to do it again I would. I would even pay money if I had to.Listening to: Metalica - St. Anger
