tabi

A not as colorful and as buttony version of this pattern. Tabi are traditional Japanese socks, with the big toe separate from the rest of the toes, making it much more comfortable to wear geta or zori, which are traditional sandals. Normally, the tabi are cloth pieces that are sewn, but seeing as I can't sew but I can knit, I knit them. However, despite the cool factor, they're still socks and I don't like socks, wearing them or knitting them. It's not that I didn't enjoy myself while knitting because the pattern was really good and interesting, but it seems like an awful lot of effort for something so small that I'll wind up not wearing anyway. Any road, onward. And also, an early apology for the quality of the pictures. I guess, that day, my skills had vanished. Either that, or I was too lazy to go outside to take them.
Socks on meh feets! No one will ever see this phenomenon again.
This was supposed to be a shot of the short row heel, but it's not really clear.
Different angle. Stats: Yarn - KnitPicks Essential Sock Yarn in dusk Needles - US 3 dpn's. I'm so glad that I knit tightly because I never want to have to use anything smaller than 3's. Even those were ridiculously small.
