My dad is down in New Orleans, serving with hundreds of other firefighters putting out fires. It's pretty sweet, I think he's awesome, but then I'm also worried about what might happen down there. He's staying for two weeks and went last Sunday. That's my dad, always helping somebody... Watched "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" last night. It was rather interesting, even if I was creeped out a bit by some of the things. I'm not a big fan of the supernatural, being superstitious and all. It's not a big problem, just that my friends and girlfriend get to rib me for not watching a movie sometimes. I saw it with Nicole, and she liked it. Afterwards we talked a little bit about the subject, and I realized that we both have a lot to say and I liked that. Honestly I was worried about bringing up religion at all, her being Catholic and me being...I guess Christian technically. It's not that I or her have a problem talking about the subject as we both know alot, it's just her standpoint might've been different from mine. I'm not being offensive, but most Catholics I've come across have been overbearing in some respects. Equally, other religions have their characteristics that people aren't fans of (ref. Christianity, "bible-thumpers"). So I was worried she would go aggro on me about things. She didn't so that made me feel much better, and more comfortable in talking about such things with her. It sucked because last night the convo lasted about ten minutes. I wanted it to go much more. Although, most times when something awesome like that happens, it stays for only a short time and then we have to split to go somewhere. grr. At least there are good things that last long. Playing the games I do just I dunno, it works and I like it. Of course they kinda take a lot of time, but then I kinda have it to spare when Nicole's not around. I miss her whenever she's gone, and since school started. My club started a campaign. It's pretty sweet, and I've won thrice so far. I've written some good fluff for it so far and everyone's having fun so far as I can tell. *sigh* I miss my friends from work. Maybe I'll call them up or something soon. Would be nice to hear them again. I almost hit somebody last night because he walked right in front of me as I was going about 20mph. Probably drinking. I hate people who drink like that. They generally are stupid. Too bad it's illegal to hit them with a car...ah well. Maybe a drunk driver will hit them for me. Ahhh the beautiful irony that I would enjoy. Quote for the day: "There is no worse death than that of hope"
