So I have brought all the girls Christmas presents and wrapped them up in cute paper. I am organized this year. I have chosen what it is I want other people to get them and given said people these ideas to roll with. I'm very particular in what I want the kids to have. I don't want Barbie's or Bratz dolls or anything branded. I want them to be brought up with neutral things. Like it's ok for girls to play with cars and we have cars and the kids like them Number One loves pushing cars around and Number Two loves trucks. I am not going to give them the idea that they are boys toys. Screw that. I am proud of my kids. I have taught Number One to count to 10 and to say her ABC's. She is super clever. And Number Two has started walking - she picked it up very quickly. First time she stood herself up without holding onto anything she managed 6 steps, then 9 and then 17. For awhile after she wasn't interested in walking but now she is faster she likes it. I have also decided that one day I will get rid of (and by this I mean store in the wardrobe) the soft toys and start a soft toy collection of animals. Like a zoo.
I love watching my kids learn things. And discover things. Like yesterday at Chipmunks Number One (who has a lot of determination) managed to get herself up the rope staircase on the big inflatable slide (like huge 2 storey inflatable slide) and yea it took her a while to get up to the top but the look on her face when she achieved it was like a Visa ad. Priceless. My kids show me the world in simple terms. How I love them
In other news I just took Rob's bitch for a walk. Boy did she pant. Going to the gym is definitely changing me and I love it. Rob reckons my abs are just like his. In this instance I'm going to say he's got good abs. Well should go organize my whanau for the day.
