Franz Ferdinand

random cd review Franz Ferdinand: Franz Ferdinand Franz Ferdinand is finally making thier way into to US mainstream. This Scottish band has been on the rise in the UK and Europe for the past year and now have a hit song, "Take Me Out", in the US. Franz Ferdinand's debut album is incredible. They seem to make everyone's head bob to the song and often make them dance along. Starting off with the line "Jaqueline was seventeen" with an acoustic guitar is not expected after hearing the upbeat "Take Me out" on the radio, but the song quickly makes its way into the FF way: Upbeat and exciting. "Jaqueline" starts off the cd in a very good way. "Tell Her Tonight" continues the very upbeat and happy music...as FF says "We make music girls can dance to" "Take Me Out" is the 3rd song on the album, and its very lively. "So If your lonely/ you know i'm here/ waiting for you" Its no wonder FF chose this as their US single. The cd continues with "Dark Of The Matinee" Matinee is a darker song, but one of my personal favorites. This is possibly the next single from Franz. "Auf Ausche" follows Matinee and makes use of the disco era. The bass pumps out a distinct disco riff. "I'm cheating on you girl/ You're cheating on me" Franz continues the dance rock with "Cheating on You", another song deeply involved with sex. This song will surely make you want to get up and dance. finish later...
