100 greatest bands...

you know i watched vh1's 100 hard rock bands last night...they got there prioroties screwed up...im so sick of hearing about led zeplin acdc aerosmith metallica and nirvana...even tho i love these bands i really think they were over rated...i mean nirvana all there albums were made from 3 or 4 chords...led zepplin is plain over rated i love them but how much can you praise a damn band...metallica i dont even wanna touch the new metallica...im not dissing on the bands im just sick of hearing how great they are...the bands i wanna see in the top of those...jimi hendrix(he was)black sabbath(they were)frank zappa and the mothers on inovation,they are such an under apreciated band...they are all exelent musicians...zappa was a musical genius and no one realizes that cuz he isnt played on the radio...neil young another great musician...the yardbirds, cream, stevie ray vaughn, elton john for godsakes he is really good,i only like one of his albums but still...i mean everyone that knows me knows i listen to just about only metal...but without these bands alot of bands would not be around...i mean mc5 alot of people prolly never heard of them,they were the first thrash rock band...i love all the bands ive metioned and theres alot more that dont get the respect they need...van halen, PINK FLOYD!, slayer, guns n roses, steely dan, and even elvis we gotta thank that man fro bringing us what we listen to today...i dunno i guess i just feel i shouldnt be able to guess what the top 5 will be and know what number one will be...mix it up a bit or something damn

as for metal...I like it, but I can't tell you what I like other than I like atreyu (of course) and Lamb of God is okay.
I used to listen to that poppunkrock crap, as you can tell by my header, but my brother came home from college a few days ago and changed the way I look at music. I am burning all of his cd's. I like jam bands like phish...because it's all about the music and not the money...they don't conform to new age styles just to sell a few cd's that in a year no one will remember anyway
