This girl was a friend of mine I had lost touch with her for a while and then last week I saw her at walmart I talked to her for a few minuets, not knowing it would be the last time I would ever see her. She was a wonderful person with a big heart she had no hate or animosity for anyone. She was a great wife, mother, and friend. I and many others will miss her. Here's the news write up about it. TOLEDO -- The Ohio State Highway Patrol says a crash late Wednesday night killed a woman and her child. The crash happened at the intersection of US Route 20A and Fulton County Road 5-2, near Delta around 11:30pm. Troopers say 21-year-old Nicole Koder of Delta was pronounced dead at the scene. She was eight months pregnant, and despite heroic efforts to save her baby, it was also killed. The Highway Patrol says Nathan Koder was driving the family's car on a two-lane portion of US Route 20A when a semi driven by Michael Welch of Dunsford, Ontario tried to pass them. Troopers say the truck hit the Koder's car in the left-rear corner, sending it spinning into a car driven by Susan Garcia of Toledo. The Garcia car hit the Koder car in the passenger door. Nathan Koder and his 2-year-old daughter Alexis were taken to Fulton County Health Center. Nathan was later transferred to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center for treatment. The child was treated and released. Nicole Koder was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say attempts were made to save her unborn child, but after being flown to St. V's, the baby was pronounced dead about an hour later. Garcia was taken to the Medical University of Ohio, where troopers say she's listed in serious condition. Welch, the driver of the semi, was arrested on a charge of vehicular homicide and taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio. He was not hurt in the crash. The Highway Patrol says the crash remains under investigation, and additional charges are pending.
