Mr. Pitts died today at about 12:00. He was such an awesome teacher. He had a heart attack a few weeks ago, and he's been in the hospital since. The doctors said if he made it through all this he wouldn't be the same Mr. Pitts. I guess it's good that he doesn't have to suffer anymore. I just wish I knew him better. I just got his class for Metals 1 this year and he was the nicest person in the whole world. I just can't believe he's gone. The day he had the heart attack he was playin' around with us in class like 10 minutes before he was taken to the hospital. It's crazy how things happen like that. One minute everything is okay, and the next so much changes. I know his family must be going through a lot because he was such a wonderful man. His son came and told us how he was doin' a little bit after he was in there. He told us that Mr. Pitts thinks alot about the students here at Troup and he loved to teach. You could really tell that he loved to teach if you were in any of his classes you could tell that. I'm really gonna miss him even though I didn't know him that long.
