Listening to: Stop - Spice Girls
Feeling: bubbly
Ashley and I just got home from an AWESOME road trip up to Boston where we stayed with Josh and his family.
On the way up, Miss Leadfoot drove. We stopped at this shady gas station/deli place where we were greeted by this old black cat as we walked in. Naturally I began making friends with it. After we purchased our prepackaged turkey sandwiches, we went out to the car to eat and the cat followed us. Afterwards, Ash had to pee, but there was no public bathroom, so she went in the garden behind this truck. It was hilarious. I made her stand outside and make sure i didn't hit the black cat because it wouldn't move and I thought if we killed a black cat it'd be terrible.
We got back on the road, getting truckers to honk at us and finally arrived at Josh's. He greeted me with his poison ivy arms and it was on his lips. Needless to say, it was a curse. I couldn't kiss him until the last day!! But it was ok. We had a nice evening at the Chinese restaurant with his parents (they treated) and afterwards we chilled at his house.
The following day Ash and I woke up early and hit the road to Boston. We first stopped at Park St. and frolicked in the park and then spent the rest of the day at Faneuil Hall Marketplace and Quincy Market. It was fun!! :)
That night the boys (Josh and Topper) took us out to dinner to a fancy restaurant. Afterwards, we got ice cream and this place with realllly awesome ice cream and we danced in the parking lot to Jimmy Buffet! It was great. They also gave us a little tour of Westford.
The next day we rose early again and headed into Boston. This time we went the Newbury Street (5th avenue of Boston) and did some shopping and then we took the T to Harvard Square where we ate at the awesome place called Fire and Ice. Our waiter, Nick, was really cute and told us a new way to go home. He was from NJ.
We then went home and met with Topper and Kaitlyn and drove to the pizza place where Josh was working and he made us food. No one in MA knows what a cheesesteak hoagie is. It took me forever to explain it! (and it's a sub, sorry, not a hoagie)
Anyway, we hung out there and took Joshie home with us. When we got back we watched this freaky movie, Event Horizon, and then called it a night. And I finally got to kiss Josh cause his P.I. was gone ;)
Thursday Ash and I slept in and headed for home around 12:00pm. We stopped and got Subway for the ride home and decided to take a new route home - I- 95. We went through Providence and stopped at this cute little beach in Rhode Island where I took Ash's pic with a cute lifeguard. It was fun. Then we found out that 95 goes through NYC. We got a little lost and confused and Ash stalled the car out on an exit ramp. That was fun.
Needless to say, we got home fine and in one piece and we got tons of honks from truckers!! haha it was crazy and I can't wait to do it again! Next destination? Canada? California? We'll have to start planning....
