Camping is as pleasant as possible despite the thunder/lightening/hail/snow storm we endured through the trip up here this morning and the ice cold shower. Pismo beach reminds me of a slice of downtown ventura minus all the Wild Planet kooks plus 40 degree weather and twice the number of hot young surfers.
As i have mentioned before, we are not technically "camping" up here, as the campground allows only solid sided trailers and has full hookups (water, electricity, plumbing) and a heated pool, mini golf course, cable TV, wireless internet access, and even a complimentary towing service. Besides being a "Campground" this place almost serves double as a millionaire's retirement home; there are older couples with trailers here that cost more than a beverly hills mansion. Our trailer is a few years old, but it holds its own when compared to the massive "Zanzibar" Winnebago Gold Edition across the street from us. During the day the place is pretty bare, but around 5 'o clock the winos and the partiers come out and ride their bikes around with glasses of wine in their hands. QUE DIVERTIDO!
It's snowing and I'm...feeling groovy.
