Dear Diary,

I'm not sure that I have so much as even pondered the idea of a new years resolution, until this very moment. So, having said that, I'd like to resolve to writing to you more often. I feel terrible for the negligance that I've shown you, and today I would like to begin anew.

Recently, I have acquired an old treasure of mine hidden inside of a safe, -a journal. Yes, it is the actual journal that I began writing in during the primal years of my high school experience. & unfortunately, it has been shown the same treatment as you, neglect.
