Standing in the middle of an overflowing stream two banks on either side laugh and mock at me One has lush green fields where i can run and play the other at times is dismal dark and gray the healthier side seems peaceful i need that in my life contentment would be blissful in among so much strife a livelier field too perfect for a person just like me i sway toward the other it is all that i can see such darkness i have known has its other brighter days which makes up a little for its many imperfect ways some would choose the warmer though an illusion it may be i'll choose what i have known it shares many pasts with me the little imperfections i could easily say hold my curiosity on whats inside that gray looking to my left than turning to my right should i hide and run for cover or stand and face the fight hesitating but a moment i turn and walk away not realising what awaits me i'll choose this bank today
