Candle in the Wind

Listening to: nirvana
Feeling: optimistic
Went to lyndsey's party friday night....wow were there a lot of freshmen or what. I was the only one who could drive so i had to drive 12 freshmen here and there....I must say.....there was one freshmen who was awesome. He loves the 80's! just like me. All night we talked about 80 songs ands movies...too bad hes 15. I went shopping.....for free!!!! ~in cousin's closet. i have to write an essay on anything...what should i write about? no requirements or anything....its crazy?! Goodbye Norma Jean, Though I never knew you at all You had the grace to hold yourself While those around you crawled. They crawled out of the woodwork, And they whispered into your brain, They set you on the treadmill And they made you change your name. And it seems to me that you lived your life Like a candle in the wind Never knowing who to cling to When the rain set in. And I would have liked to have known you But I was just a kid Your candle burned out long before Your legend ever did Loniliness was tough, The toughest role you ever played. Hollywood created a superstar And pain was the price you paid Even when you died The press still hounded you All the papers had to say Was that Marilyn was found in the nude. Goodbye Norma Jean, Though i never knew you at all You had the grace to hold yourself While those around you crawled. Goodbye Norma Jean, From the young man in the 22nd row. Who sees you as something more than sexual, More than just our Marilyn Monroe...... ~great song~

hmm...write it on...well, write it one what I have to write an essay on. Ernest Hemmingway's "Hills Like White Elaphants" short story. And then ramble on for two pages about the balance of power in relationships.
