*I wrote this story for an English assignment. It is alittle messed up cuz it is from memory but it is still good, I think...*
Jonathan the troll sits under a tree waiting for a storm to pass. He has lost one of his shoes so he has to find new ones. When the storm finally clears he decides to wander around. He comes upon a tailor gname that notices that Jonathan only has one shoe. The gnome asks, "Would you like for me to make you a new pair of shoes?" Jonathan replies, "I would love a new pair, but I have nothing I can give you in return." The gnome says, "It will only cost you about 20 dollars and I will give you two days to get the money."
Jonathan comes across an old bridge and sleeps under it, dreaming of how to make money when he is awakened by a passing squirrel. The squirrel is afraid to pass so he throws three dollars at Jonathan and runs across the bridge. This continues until Jonathan accumulates 20 dollars. He goes back to the gnome and pays for his shoes. After Jonathan tells the gnome about how he got the money the gnome asks him if he could do him a favor. "Will you live under that old bridge for me? There are these 3 billy goats that always eat the grass that is over here. Will you scare them off for me? I will give you a new pair of shoes whenever you need them," asks the gnome. Jonathan, thinking that he had nothing else to do with his life, agreed. He now has all the shoes he wants and is keeping those damn billy goats away from the good grass.
