The fate of polar bears could be even bleaker than that estimate, because sea ice in the Arctic might be vanishing faster than the available computer models predict, the geological survey said in a report aimed at determining whether the big white bear should be listed as a threatened species. "There is a definite link between changes in the sea ice and the welfare of polar bears," said Steve Amstrup, who led the research team. Arctic sea ice is already at an all-time low this year and is expected to retreat farther this month, according to the U.S. National Snow and Ice Data Center. That means that polar bears -- some 16,000 of them -- will disappear by 2050 from parts of the Arctic where sea ice is melting most rapidly, along the north coasts of Alaska and Russia, researchers said in a telephone briefing. Other polar bear populations could survive beyond that date but many of those could be gone by 2100, Amstrup said. By century's end, the only polar bears left might live in the Canadian Arctic islands and along the west coast of Greenland. "Projected changes in future sea ice conditions, if realized, will result in loss of approximately two-thirds of the world's current polar bear population by the mid 21st century," the report's executive summary said. "Because the observed trajectory of Arctic sea ice decline appears to be underestimated by currently available models, this assessment of future polar bear status may be conservative." ARE POLAR BEARS 'THREATENED'? In January, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service proposed listing the polar bear as a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act, noting polar bears depended on sea ice as a platform to hunt seals, their main prey. Tuesday: I didnt get to school til around 11. Then i worked on our project with Ahmed. English was hilarious! We can pretty much do anything we want in front of ms irvin and she really doesnt care. so me ahmed and lindsey were sitting with eachother talking and i was texting heather. Then we got in a HUGE argument with ms irvin cause were not an "honors" class so we shouldnt have 3 projects at once. so we yelled at her for awhile. After school i had an interview with TJMAXX they said they would check my records and call me.. whatever that means. Wednesday: Took the english SOL and then sat there forever waiting for the bell to ring. History we played a review game and me and lesley owned it. mhm. After school heather dropped me off at dustins and aaron was there. so we played video games and i went to the rental office with dustin and ashley. they were in the process of filling up the pool (YAYYY) So then we went back to the apartment and took a nap. Then aaron took me home and i got a call from the cvs up my street and they said they wanted to interview me. Today: Took my history and math sol. THEIR OVER! WHHOOO!!!! it was a really boring day. i playde 35 soduku puzzles after the sols i was so bored. After school Dustin came over and hes thinking about buying dwaines truck cause hes finally selling it. So i went to the interview at cvs and the guy said that hes hiring 1-2 people and that he might be able to call me tomorrow. and if he cant hell call monday. =D So i got home and watched tv with dustin for a while and then finished some of the spanish project and VUALA here i am =D

Friday: me dustin heather and aaron were at dustins. we went to get pizza and then heather got the "krusty krab pizza" song stuck in our heads so we were singing it ALL weekend. Then adam and chris came over too while me and heather were taking dirty pictures in dustins room. Then we all played halo until we passed out and woke up to a cop at the door looking for some weird-named mexican cause they wanted to arrest him. Then we just hung around all day and me and dustin walked to the gym for a little while. Then me dustin and aaron went to eb games and panera. Then Heather Adam and Chris came back over and we all played halo and ghost recon again. And everytime Aaron would get his favorite grenades he would scream BABIES!!! I LOVE BABIES!! haha. So then sunday was wasted sleeping all day and playing games until i had to go home. Monday: I slept in until 1030 then went to photography. Went to lunch and then math. Then went to spanish (the only decent class of the day) Ahmed was pretending to be a nerd all class wearing black square glasses with tape on them, and saying people beat him up in the hallway. lol. Then we got a huge project and eduardo (my ex stalker) was asking brittany to be his partner and she didnt wanna be so shes like ugh... "im working with julie?" so eduardo comes up to me and asks me who im working with and i said ahmed. so he went back to brittany and was like, "shes working with ahmed.. so we can work together!" so brittany came over to us and was freaking out saying shes afraid to say no to him cause he might shoot her or start crying or something. so she sat with us the rest of the class and then told ms wickline she didnt want to work with him. lmao. So after school i got home and went to lowes and tjmaxx with dee. We saw James and Anthony Giovanni in the Lowes. James bought a brand new house in goochland and gave Anthony (who moved here from lindenhurst) his old house by heather. so we were talking to them for a long time and james is supposed to come for dinner in a couple weekends or something like that. So then we went to tjmaxx and i talked to the lady about my job and she had me fill out a pdi on my behavior. and then she told me i had an interview tomorrow, (well, today) with "mr stiff." lmao. so came home and dustin called and asked if i wanted to help him make spagetti for dinner so i went over there and we cooked the sauce and everything and then heather came over and we all ate. Then we helped him get his room kinda organized. Then heather had to leave and me and dustin put his bed up and ashley came over. =D

Yesterday after school Dustin came and got me and we went to his house til around 10. we played video games with adam and watched my and mrs smith. i forgot how much i loved that movie. ================================= Today was SO boring. it felt like it lasted FOREVER. I was in in art for 3 hours. which really wasnt that bad. i got half my project done and talked to lydia/billy. Then went to lunch and 5th period. I taped a sign that said, "IM GAY" on joeys back. and then hayden put one on him that said, "QUEER AS A STEER" whatever that means. but he didnt know for about 20 minutes until ms kitt was like, "joey, who put those signs on your back?" lol. then me olivia gavin and joey talked about gavin having sex with too many people. he lost count at 13.. tsk tsk. SO ANYWAY. then i went to biology 2 and that felt like the longest class in the world cause we were just watching some John Q movie. Came home and my mom was gonna put us on a verizon plan. i got the plan and picked the phone and everything online, and then they told me that my moms credit was too bad. ugh. so then dustin came over and we hung out for awhile. =D

today has been dramatic. along with yesterday. yesterday afternoon: A mob of about 15 people went to beat josh up, he had already left. so this morning after 2nd Josh went home. I get to Spanish class and talk to Ahmed and find out that Casey and Kyle were on their way to his house. so then josh was texting me and Casey, Kyle, Drew, Eden, and Stewert went over to his house and he beat the crap out of casey and then kyle beat the crap out of him and then the others just watched it happen. So i get to 6th period with Ahmed again and we sat there with nathan talking about it the entire class. and i kept texting josh to find out what was going on. Ms irvin would over hear us talking about Josh and shes like hes not coming back? WHAT DID HE DO NOW?!? and we told her not to worry about it and she said she wouldnt snitch on him or us or anything so were sitting there going on about it and rape is mentioned and pot. and ms irvins eyes get all huge and shes like, "I CANT HEAR YOU!!!!" it was pretty funny but the whole class was having a discussion about him. so after school i was walking to the jeep and the crowd outside of the door (ahmed, casey, kyle, drew, stewart, devon, eden, and a bunch of other people) stopped me and was like, "JULIE!!!!! YOUVE BEEN TEXTING JOSH!?!" and their like, "WHATS HE SAYING!?!" so i explained to them and kyle told me how he beat the crap out of him and all the details and stuff. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO yeah. Josh isnt coming back to school, hes transfering to Patrick Henry.. we have like 3 weeks of school left. and hes transfering. gah. so after all of that i drove over to eriks and helped him ashley dustin and adam move some stuff then went back to the apartment with dustin and adam and made spagetti and played game. and that was it. heres some of the texts: Josh: i just thought you of all people would believe me Me: cant blame me when i heard the same thing from 6 different people Josh:yeah ive heard the rape thing from way more than 6 people, but true friends came to me and asked what REALLY happened Me: then why are some of your BEST friends about to fight you? its not just the drug thing.. the girl too Josh: taylor told them the pot thing was all me. when i picked him up he already had it and when i got pulled he shoved it under my seat instead of claiming it and thats why we both got charged Me: so your "true friends" should of come and asked you about it instead of believing taylor Josh: thats what they should of done but that didnt happen so now casey wants to fight. i guess a change of school is for the best Me: whats up where are you? did casey do anything in tech? Josh: im on the way home cant take the harassment anymore at Hermitage. starting patrick henry monday. have a wonderful day. Me: what did they say in tech Josh: casey didnt want to fight until after school when 5 more people wanted to join in and i wasnt down for that so i left Josh: casey showed up at my house and wanted to fight, then kyle wanted to join in. oh well hope its done now, doubt it though. SOO today has most deffinatly been interesting. seriously, not one boring moment. In 4th period we had a sub (thank you jesus) so me ahmed and chris were talking. then chris cursed out brooke. LMAO omg it was hilarious. everyone in that class hates her. but anyway, he got sent in the hall for the rest of the class. Lunch: found out some crazy crap about olivia. Math: talked to olivia about it and she continued to tell me the opposite. so i came to english and talked to brandon and he tells me the opposite of what olivia said. i dont know what to believe anymore olivia is crazy and all, thats why i believe brandon but brandon is a jerk who cheated on ppl for her, thats why i believe her. so wtf. idk. oh and im still in english and ahmed and lindsey are talking something about josh. like their gonna beat him up or something but thats about the taking advantage of girls thing. damn hes stupid. well im gg for now __________________________________________________ end of 7th period now, josh is going down. end of story.

Catching up.. Friday i stayed home for an unknown reason. Slept until 12 Talked to Josh on Aim. Went back to sleep until 2. (i know im lazy =D) Went to Kohls and got that awesome shirt Went over to Dustins around 7. He already moved all of his stuff out of the storage unit into the apartment. Me Dustin and Ashley moved some stuff around and then sat there and talked until Heather came, then we talked some more. Then Erik, Chris, Elizabeth, and Trevor came over. and we talked some more. THEN Brandon and Clay came. and we talked some more... and tried to keep the extremely annoying alarm thingy away from trevor.. Lets see.. then most of them left and we played video games with erik ashley and chris. Went to sleep and woke up around 11.. We went and got the last couch out of the storage unit and brought it to the apartment, then just hung around and Aaron came over. We all played halo. which i havent played in a VERY long time. but its the best game ever. Went to sleep around 12. Woke up around 12. Went to dustins dad's with dustin and aaron. We helped him out and dustin got 50 bucks that he split with us. Went and got a bunch of chips. Went back to the apartment and.. Dustin locked his keys in the truck. lmao. so we sat in the back of the truck for awhile eating our chips until we found some random black guy with a metal coat hanger in his car, so we could unlock the door. Chris came over and we played Halo for the rest of the night til i came home around 10. =D its almost SUUUMMMEEERRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =D =D =D =D

yesterday after school dustin came and got me and i drove with him to his school. saw morgan and a couple other guys there, he signed a paper and then we went to his.. NEW APARTMENT! its exciting. its pretty nice, except the hallway smells like a mix between mexican food, mexican sweat, and citris. so we went to elizabeths house and kidnapped her and trevor and went to his apartment and ran around spraying citris air freshener everywhere. then we got a little too high and went to elizabeths. We went back to the apartment and heather and chris came over and we just kinda sat around talking in the living room. Heather left, me chris and dustin went to my house and dustin got all his things and left with chris. Today: 1st period was really short (thank you jesus) 3rd period was waaayyy to long to be stuck with mr beirly. butt i went outside to take pictures. and guess who shows up driving by me.. come on.. guess.. !! !!! !! josh. ugh. he got in a lotttttt of trouble, not supposed to say what for, but a lotttttt of trouble. possible jail time and all. and now hes telling me about how he has to get his life together.. NOW. why not before? *rolls eyes* so anyway. lunch was ok.. BRANDON KISSED HEATHER!!!!!!! finally. 5th period i talked to olivia, joey, and hayden. we got on the conversation of what would happen if a girl was alergic to seamen. that was different. 7th period was ms tanner. it sucked. bad. came home and now im about to go to dustins and help him move in .. =D

wasnt all that fun. first period was another 35 minutes longer. 3rd period was just boring. lunch was the same. 5th period was pretty fun. was gonna leave early w/ josh. but he left before directed study. instead of after. 7th period was boring. came home. ate dinner. dustin came over. went to eriks. dustins spending the night. the end.

This has been a really good day. everyone is.. are you ready..? ... HAPPY! yepp its true. Stacey is back with seth. Heather is dating Brandon. Im still with Dustin life is good. except for 5th period. Lizzy broke up with Joey for some gay reason. really gay. REALLY gay. I dont know how someone can just break up with their boyfriend/girlfriend for a reason that is pretty much as stupid as .. "your toe is too big" or something stupid like that. BUT anyway, yeah joey was all depressed the entire time, and then Olivia was really upset (go figure) but about Val and Brandon. So i talked to her all of directed study and walked with her to class. found out some.. interesting things. OK, lets go back for a minute. 4th period was really fun. We had a cinco de mayo party. i made cookies and some other people brought some food. Me Chris and Ahmed talked the entire time. Jade was telling me about her new boyfriend (of like 2 weeks) bought her a $150 diamond necklace for her birthday, lost it, and bought her another $120 diamond necklace. She was like, "hes 16 and in 9th grade. Hes been working since he was 7.. blah blah blah" yet another example of.. CRAZY PEOPLE!!!! you have to be insane to buy your 2 week old girlfriend 2 diamond necklaces, (if thats even true, it sounds like bs to me) reminds me of michael asking casey to MARRY her after 2 weeks, yeah.. remember that? CRAZY!! people are ridiculous. so anyway. Now im in English class. the most boring class in the entire world. The beginning of the class was kinda funny though, i thougt. Ms irvin left for a second (big mistake) and brandon came in late and tasha had shut the door. so shes standing there laughing at him cause the door is unlocked and he was just too stupid to figure it out. so like 3 minutes later, he opens the door and calls tasha a jackass and they start arguing and chris was making fun of him and brandon was trying to bring up comebacks.. it wasnt working. it was the best moment of the day. it may not sound like it, but realizing how much of a dumbass brandon really is.. its hilarious. (no offense, heather. i know dustins not the brightest crayon in the box either. lol.) ANYWAYS Dustin is moving in his apartment wednesday *jumps up and down* its so exciting!!!!!!! i really cant wait, its gonna be really awesome. hopefully we can all see elizabeth more too, i havent seen her in like 2 months. ok well. im gonna go for now i might write more later. =D

friday stacey came home with me and then we went to 2 home depots with dustin and walked with him and seth around the mall. waited for a while for chris holly heather and lauren and then we went to applebees for dinner. Today was okay. We had a sub in art, and me and lesley made a commotion in photography. Lunch was lunch. 5th period, i got in a huge marker fight with Joey. I had pink purple green etc etc all over my arms and hands and at one point all over my face until i washed it off. I got weird looks for the rest of the day. Tanners class, we had a "suprise test" in which she moved ahmed to the front, and then me the front. Me and Ahmed together, during a test, damn shes stupid. After school i went to walgreens and then to Eriks to see Dustin, where me dustin erik and ashley were sprawled out on eriks water bed reading books about giving blowjobs. Drove home and now i feel like passing out im so tired, but then i dont want to go to sleep. im weird.

today was actually pretty decent. i managed to get through second period without dying of boredom. Spanish, me and ahmed just talked the whole time and made ms wickline mad. lunch was the usual lunch and 5th period was the usual 5th period, EXCEPT: MATTS BACK FROM SUSPENSION!!!!!!!!!! which means.. I HAVE SOMEONE TO KEEP ME ENTERTAINED AGAIN OTHER THAN JOEY CONSTANTLY STEALING MY THINGS!!!! english i watched everyone present the projects that i didnt do, got in a paper ball fight with brandon, and then continued to make fun of ms irvin not being a women. Went out to heathers jeep to find brandon and clay locked in it.. *gives shocked face* so it took about 15 minutes to wait for them to realize they were bored, and to leave.. Went home and did some homework, and then Dustin came over. He took a shower and we ate dinner and watched tv for the night, just talking and stuff. Its nice that were actually getting along again.
