so i went to this rifle range we've got up the road. they shoot up to 1000yd. i was borrowing some south-paw's rifle, cause i am too. anyway, we were at the 500yd mound. i was crackin it. 24 shots in a 4 or 500 mm ring down aperture sights. this is just like rock up and blast the sh*t. it was a really good confidence boost for me, knowing i can assasinate the crap out of shit at 500yds without a scope. we also went down to 100yds with the old PH .303s, i outshot one of the guys who was cleaning up at 500yds, he was spraying them about a foot off the bulls and sometimes worse (to his credit he did get in close a couple of times) my first shot was 80mm to the 7 of the bulls, my second was dead centre. nasty nasty rifles though. i had a mate with an on PH, his grandad made him a beautiful stock for it, plus recoil pad, made it very comfortable to shoot. (he re-blued the action and got a new-er mil barrel for it it was sexy) these ones were the full-furniture jobbies, steel butt. i could have probably put 20 rounds down it but that would have been enough. i havent eaten since yester morn. i probably should. i'm stoked, i am so getting me a .308 all _Ra 0844|091108
