Went and saw the Da Vinci Code with tom, zeb, laura and vetti on sunday. I thought it was pretty good but nowhere near as good as the book. Although we where sitting so close to the screen that laura got motion sickness! which was rather unfortunate. Then we went to BK for dinner before going to night church which was pretty fun. After that we went to maccas AND KFC. Dont ask why cause i really have no idea. Anyways i was thinking about the controversy surrounding the Da Vinci code and how a lot of Christians are getting upset about it which i guess i can understand (especially seeing as it questions some of the core beliefs of Christianity). However it is just a movie and you really shouldn't believe everything you see in the movies. So i was talking to laura about it and she said that the pastor at her church gave a talk about the facts behind the movie (or lack thereof) but recommended that they all should go see it. Personally i think that this is a golden opportunity for non-believers and christians to talk about religion which can onlyl ever be a good thing. wow it was good to get some of those thoughts that've been swirling round my head out onto 'paper'.... :)
