My dad just left for his 2 week motorcycle trip to Colorado. Me and him have gotten alot closer lately. I don't know what it is but there's obvioulsy something that changed. I talk to him now like, about my life. Before i would come home say hi to him and stay in my room all night. Now me and him do stuff together all the time. Mostly baseball games..but still, it's together time. Anywho..he left this morning and i cried. Usually, a 15 year old girl would be waiting for there parents to go away for as long as my dad is, so they can have a party or w/e. Well not me. I'm gonna miss him alot. I already do. I mean, i will have some friends over and stuff but still, i'm not taking advantage of this as much as other people might. Thank God my sister is home for the summer, cuz if my dad left me with his girlfriend, i would have killed him. It's been two hours, and i'm already waiting for his motorcycle to come around the corner and park in the spot in front of the house. I am really happy with the relationship between him and me. Sometimes, i do take advantage of it. Like the other night, me and him where talking about parties and stuff. I told him that i wanted to go to parties now since i'm getting to that age. I've been to some before but he doesn't know about those. I feel like he'd get mad over me not telling him so i just left that out. He told me that it was fine for me to go to parties as long as he knew where i was and that i was making smart decisions. I respect that. The more i respect his rules, the more respect i get back. So now when i go out to a party or out with a bunch of friends, i don't have to sneak out of the house anymore or lie and say im going to a friends house to spend the night. Maybe i'm just at that point where you bond with your parents instead of fight. I love him alot. I want him to come home really bad. =(
