Canceled college class

Feeling: befuddled

So, I usually have class tonight. Human ecology. We grow humans. Not really, it's about the interaction of humans on the environment and ecosystems. Basically, kind of a hippie class that deals with recycling and stuff. They just gave "hippie-ness" a title. Kind of a small class to. 5 students total enrolled. 3 showed up to the first class and 1 called in. First night of class, the 3 people there are put into a group and told to do a presentation with visuals of the next chapter in the book. So, I finished that pretty easy...got it all ready last night for tonight. I check my phone messages before I leave for class and one of my groupmembers/classmates (same thing) left a message that we did not have class and that there was an e-mail about it. Seems the teacher was sick. So, I have had so many classes canceled for various reasons...I got bored and added them up. If you break each class to dollar values for what I pay per class for tuition, not including books...I have lost a full class from the "absences" of teachers. A few of them were from the teachers having to go out of town and such. So, where the heck is my money? I waisted a full class tuition on days that my teachers were not able to attend the class they get paid to be at. For a college that only has 8 classes for a SEMESTER, that can mean I miss 1/8 of my class each time they are absent. I had one class alone where the teacher missed class 3 times! I want my money back at least! Sure, I have gotten all passing grades reguardless. Still, I like to learn. I have learned a lot from some of my teachers that I use even today. So, give a student the credit, but do something about my teachers missing that much class. If I have one more class that is canceled due to the teacher's inability to commit to their employment as a pratitioner of educational studies, (woo! big words! look at me!) I'm gonna have to start demanding reimbursment for the dang student loan that I have to pay if they are there or not. I loose 1/8 of my education, I should have a small decrease in my payment. Sounds fair to me. They could save by not paying that part-time teacher for that absent day. eh...I just wanted to rant about something and that was all that came to mind. As of next week, I work in the warehouse at my current place of employment, Meaning I get a 8:30 - 5:00 shift M-F..weekends off...YAY! *dances* Finally!
