A little background info on this one. This is probably my oldest of the poems I still have. It is also my favorite I've ever written! Lovely Eyes Do you know the look? The love in her eyes Her cheeks perked up with happiness The smile that makes you return it The way she stares into your eyes Looking into your souls and beyond That look that warms your heart You feel like you're the only one in the world for her You are You are meant to be gazing upon one another Meant to be in love Meant to be everything to each other Time will tell your fate in this world But the look is yours To be held as your own forever and ever Never will her face cease to shimmer for me
