;Chapter 7

Jesse frantically ran to the bathroom practically crashing into his sister who had just gotten out of the shower. "Whoa slow down, you are going to hurt someone." said Aries rubbing her hair with a towel. The black streamed down her face and only a towel was wrapped around her. Jesse let out a huge sigh of releif as he realized how stupid he looked. "Are you okay?" Aries asked looking at her brother who was acting like he just saw a dead body. Jesse nodded his head and Aries walked back to her room where she saw Kelsey. "What are you doing here? What's going on?" Aries looked at Jesse and back to Kelsey. They both just starred silently at Aries. "Alright. I'm going to get dressed now." said Aries, a little freaked out, she closed the door. She searched the floor and found a long sleeve black shirt and her olive green dickies. She walked to her mirror and wiped the black from her eyes and applied neater, thick eyliner and blood red gloss. The walk to school was silent. Aries had no idea what was up with Kelsey and Jesse so she just put on her headphones and hymned to Evanescence. At lunch Jesse and Kelsey found each other in the middle of the hallway and walked together to the spot where they always ate. As usual, Aries was already there, writing away. Jesse knew he had to ask now. "Aries what is wrong?" "What? Nothing is wrong." she said souding as convincing as she could "Are you sure?" asked Jesse hoping to receive an actualy answer. Aries nodded her head flashing her brother a 'what the hell are you talking about' look. He knew she was lieing but he also knew to drop it. Kelsey shook her head and sat down pulling out her large ziplock bag of sour keys. On the way to third period, Jesse felt a hand on his shoulder. "Hey do you want to chill after school?" It was Kelsey. She was acting like nothing was wrong which she was famous for. Jesse just starred at her and kept walking. "Jesse, she said it was nothing. I know you are worrying and trust me, I am too, but we can't pressure her at all. It might just make it worse. I told you that this morning." "You are right. Maybe I'm just paranoid. Sure, what did you have in mind about after school." said Jesse realizing this was something he couldn't fix. "Well, I have soccer practice after school until four. Maybe you can come and watch and we can go to Starbucks afterwards." Kelsey was a sucker for sweet things. "Alright. It will just be me though, Aries is going home to finish some of her music." Jesse said smiling. Knowing that this was probably his chance to tell Kelsey about his feelings for her. She just smiled and nodded. Kelsey turned and walked down the hall, her blonde hair flowing behind her, and having every eye on her. She knew when she was in school, every guy starred at her and Aries. It had always been that way, and she loved it. She looked over her shoulder and saw Jesse standing there watching her walk down the hall, smiling. Kelsey returned the smile and walked into her class.
