- - Chapter 10

After the meeting we were all told that the first practice would be held after school today. Since the meeting took up most of our lunch we just went to our 3rd period class. It was my Dance class. Our school offers dance that we can get an art credit from. None of my friends were in my dance class. About half way through class the teacher (Miss Lopevo) asked us to find a partner. A girl I didn’t know came up to me. "Hey do you want to be my partner?" she asked shyly. "Sure." I said with a faint smile. I found out that her name was Erica and she had just moved here from Colorado. After class I walked out with Erica. "Hey do you want to come over to my house tomorrow after school?" I asked. "Sure. I’d love to!" she said with the biggest smile across her face. I had math fourth period and lucky for me I had a pop quiz. I was being sarcastic by the way. After the bell rang I practically ran to the gym. For about 2 hours we practiced our flips and stunts. Finally practice was over and I drove home. When I got home I had a bath and ate some dinner. Since it was still early I went and watched Titanic. The house was back to normal and the basement was all fixed. I fell asleep on the couch halfway through the movie. When I woke up Kiko was on my head and it was light outside. I looked at my clock and it was 7:30. I ell asleep for another half hour and got up at eight and got ready. I was at school by 8:30. Periods one and two went by quickly and before I knew it, it was lunch. I walked to the cafeteria and walked inside. I started walking over to the popular group’s table and I saw Erica sitting alone at a table writing in some sort of notebook. Erica had black hair and the most gorgeous grey eyes. She had a punk-style to her. Today she was wearing a Taking Back Sunday t-shirt and a pair of black pants. I went and sat down at her table. "Hey Erica, Do you want to come sit down with me at our table over there?" I said pointing to a large table with a crowd of people sitting down all laughing. She looked up from her notebook and starred at me. "What?" I asked noticing the ring in her eyebrow. "Jayme, are you sure they would want me over there. I mean I know I’m not like you guys." She said shifting her eyes over to the other table. "Who cares everyone is different. Come on!" We walked over to my table and I introduced Erica. "Hey everyone, listen up!" I shouted trying to catch everyone’s attention. "This is Erica she just moved here from Colorado." I said sitting down and Erica sat beside me. That’s when I saw her wrist. The skin was all torn and red and cut up. After lunch Erica and I walked to our dance class. After class I told her to meet me at the front door and I would give her a ride to my house.
