go home.

School has begun. Junior year. Hells yeah. Lily has a new hairstyle and it's absolutely amazing. LILY'SHAIRXCORE. Since school only started Thursday, I'll begin with Friday. Schoolday was fine. Study Hall last period, during which I decided that Taryn McDougald is my new best friend. I have to bake a cake for her and Mel Wednesday. Don't let me forget. Afterschool, I listened to Bowl of Oranges multiple times before visiting the soccer field to spectate the Varsity Girls' game. Impressive, ladies. Impressive. Afterwards I hung at the field for a few minutes with Hell, waiting for Kimble and Lauren to call us so that we'd know when to start walking to Fresh Ginger. During this time, Dewey Martin (Varsity Girls' coach) came over to me and we had a conversation along the lines of this: "Gretchen, I'm really saddened by the fact that you're not on the team with us this year. We all really miss you, and I really wish you would've played." "I needed to focus on my academics." "You could've played whenever you wanted. If you needed the night for schoolwork, you could've had it. I just really wish you'd joined us this year." "Sorry, Dewey. Maybe next year." (Now picture me walking back over to Michelle, who is dancing on a rock, as I feel even worse that I'm not playing this year.) THANKS A MILLION, DEWEY. Then Hell and I just started walking to Fresh Ginger anyway, without the call first, and about halfway there (yeah, halfway is like, 40 feet), they called. So hey, awesome. Fresh Ginger was actually pretty full. We had to be seated upstairs. But that paid off, because we witnessed the new waiter fall up the stairs, after which he attempted to regain his cool and possibly hit on us. "So, you girls still in high school?" "Yep." Poor kid. I had ridiculously good Pad Thai Noodles with Chicken. After dinner, we walked to the football game. During the walk, Hell's friend Erin, who's from Bangor, drove up next to us, so she finished the walk there with us. She was cool. Very cool. Hells yeah. I don't know what I did during the football game really. Just walked around talking to whoever I felt like talking to, I suppose. Stayed in the basic group most of the night...Kimble, Hell, Lauren, Court, Joanna, sometimes Sophie...talked to Monykah and Lily for a bit, talked to Heather when she came to see me on the bleachers, told Jo to go home a lot (kidding, of course)...Just a bunch of random stuff. I rolled down the hill once and both my hat and glasses fell off, and I couldn't find my glasses...so a few of us were just roaming within a designated space, hillside, stepping carefully and searching for my spectacular spectacles. Luckily Kimble is amazing, and she found them within a short period of time. We ended up losing the game to Leavitt, 18-16, but I wasn't really that worried about it because I only actually watched the last 10 minutes or so anyway. Hey, at least Hampden's still better than Old Town. I hope so anyway. Woohoo. Yesterday I woke up around 12 and hung out with Sam for the most part, then later Jen Stupid and Steffie joined us. They smoked pot and I did not. Yayyyyyyyy rhyming. Today I went to Staples with Mom so that I could get a TI-83 PLUS, and then I went to the mall and bought new earrings, a Death Cab for Cutie shirt, and the Read Music/Speak Spanish album from the one and only Desaparecidos. Hells yeah. Afterards I went to Ken's, where I am now. We went to Spotlight and saw The Exorcist: The Beginning, which was pretty jumpy but really not horrifying in any way, and then returned to Ken's humble abode to sit by the new fire pit his mom bought(?) and watch 100 Greatest One Hit Wonders. I then watched Twisted with Katilyn, as Ken sat upstairs and played Morrowind. Katilyn fell asleep about halfway through the movie, and then arose while still asleep to tell me the following: "I didn't get a home run...man, I hate baseball." She later stirred again, only to kiss her pointer and middle fingers and flail her hand about in the air, seemingly searching for something to plant her digits on, then turning to me and saying, as a question, "Boutin?" What this means or how it was inspired, I have no idea. Oh, I almsot forgot. Ken and Randy and Katilyn and I made fire pits today by the lake and cooked hot dogs. The end.

good thing you didn't smoke the pot or I would have had to rip both of your left limbs our and stick them up your cooter as to give you a false penis. Yep that's what I'd do.
