The Day after the day after tomorrow

Feeling: blank
so... Me and Old Yeller (That's Justin, my office mate, because he is a sick puppy) went out yesterday to watch The DAy after Tomorrow yesterday. It's weird. You kinda get the impression that you're waiting for the story to start the whole time, even though the movie is over... Clearly, though, Roland Emmerich has this thing for the total pulverisation of American cities. It's kinda Independence Day but without the aliens, which is unfortunate, because after the initial FX frenzy of the film, it kinda settles into a failry dull survival tale - remember Daylight with Sylvester Stallone from '96? Kinda like that. Dull but not that dull, but not that not-dull either, if you know what I mean. ANyway, it's t-minus 6 days till Kill Bill vol 2 comes out - looking forward to that. In other news... none. It's been raining for three days here in not-sunny Cape Town on the Southern tip of Africa - having seen the movie yesterday, I was a leeeeeetle freaked out last night, but the news this morning seems to indicate that the rest of the world has not become a frozen wasteland, so that's probably okay. Of course, the Dutch football saide managed to lose again to the Irish last night - shades of the World Cup 2002 qualifiers - and things are not looking good for their attmept to win the Euro Championships which start this coming Saturday the 12th yay!! We love soccer! Ok... CLaire has just arrived... time to go work my magic. laters
