hot damn everybody Well, following a lengthy away spell, in which I entirely failed to a.) get a tan; b.) win the state lottery, which was worth a cool 15 million ZAR for the last three weeks, which is 2.5 million in american money; and c.) have loads of hot sex with supermodels or anyone, in fact, I am now, in a word, back. Back at the university, back in the lab, back at my desk, etc etc. Whoop de do, huh? In other news, the good folks at the Keystone Foundation, who sponsor a lot of good science all over the world, have seen their way clear to fly me to Copper Mountain, Colorado in April for a conference. I'm hoping to visit a mate in San Diego and another couple in New York as well - ironically, flying Cape Town to New York, then on to Denvver, then on to San Diego, then to Los Angeles, then to Washington DC, then home via New York again is substantially - 15% - cheaper than flying to and from Denver out of Cape TOwn alone. So, hell, why not, right? Hope you guys out there all had awesome Christmases and whatever. -d-
